How and where are you going to celebrate the holidays this year? I know it’s difficult for families who can’t be together due to travel restrictions but we gotta do what we have to in order to celebrate it safely, especially for our loved ones who are vulnerable to catch the dreaded virus. For example, my family from the mainland and I will have FaceTime over Thanksgiving lunch. Eating together, exchanging stories, enjoying the company, albeit virtually.

Now if you have plans of traveling to Hawaii for the holidays, be mindful of the mandates that change every now and then in our state. You can read the details here before booking your flight.

As you can see, I am channeling a tropical holiday look today which is an unexpected mix of colors and patterns: seaside and cranberry.

Let’s start with this tunic from Palmera Beachwear. Black Friday Sale Alert: up to 75% off from Nov 27 to 30. This short-sleeved tropical wear can be dressed up or down. I paired it with a black slip dress and gemstone jewelries. This tunic features a tropical print with UPF50 sun protection. At the beach, I’d take it up a notch with wide brimmed straw hat and flip flop wedges.

The vegan bag is from Camille, a French brand. It’s made from Pinatex (pineapple fiber). Black Friday Sale Alert: 30% off at Kindstyle where I mostly shop my designer vegan bags. I’ve had this bag for almost 2 years and still in great condition, given the fact that I really do take  good care of my handbags.

For my makeup, I used the following products:

ILIA True Skin Serum Foundation. I wear tinted sunscreen for the most part but for special occasions, I wear foundation. This foundation is lightweight yet buildable. I like that it gives me dewy finish which is my preference now that I am in my 40s. Dewiness equates to youthfulness.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit-Sculpture. It’s a holiday palette that I have been enjoying to the core. It has setting powder, highlighter, bronzer and blush. I also use it for my eye makeup, talk about versatility.

Hourglass Veil Setting Spray. This has fine mist unlike other makeup setting sprays that dispense like you needed a shower. I don’t need to wet my face big time, teeny bit ok, haha.

Charlotte Tilbury Scarlet Spell Lipstick. This is my favorite cranberry shade for the holidays. It’s matte but doesn’t feel drying at all on my lips.

Ouai Haircare. This hair and body shine mist is already discontinued but I also own this hair and body oil which I like from the brand.

Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. This is holiday vacation for your olfactory sense! I have repurchased this many times and anyone who sniff this on me says that it smells so good.

Sol de Janeiro Eau de Parfum. I have the body mist so I thought why not get this fragrance as well. It could just be me but it doesn’t seem to last; however, it is a nice matching fragrance with SDJ cream. If you like pistachio and vanilla scents, then this is for you.

  • I love your product choices. I really want to try the Ilia Serum Foundation next. I think we both enjoy the same type of dewy finish and Ive seen the video ads of people wearing it and it always makes their skin look great.

  • That Ilia serum foundation always intrigued me, it always looks so nice on other people, so healthy, I’m tempted to try it!
