Work from home outfit ideas

Fourth week on lockdown here in Hawaii and the mayor of Oahu just extended it to another month. Those who own small businesses or who work for one are definitely struggling financially. The medspa where I work as site director and nurse injector closed temporarily as a result of this stay-home mandate. We are still seeing patients in our family practice clinic but mostly utilizing telehealth. We also hold daily staff meetings albeit virtually. So yes, I have been working from home 99% of the time. But not in my jammies. I still get up the same time and get ready as if I am going somewhere. I don’t know about you but dressing decent and comfortably conditions my mind to stay productive and motivated. It allows me to think outside the box and find creative solutions to address setbacks, business-wise (read: how to veganize your wardrobe)

Funny thing is, I have been wearing makeup the past days more than I normally would when I am in the office. I am also wearing all the gemstone jewelries I made so far to keep me entertained all this time. My husband and mom suggested that I resurrect selling my creations online. That needs to be seen but for now, I would like to share with you some fabulous work from home outfit ideas.

Pants that can take you from virtual meeting to home exercise. I prefer leggings or jeggings that are neutral because you can easily dress it up if need be. Throw in a nice blouse, boyfriend top, tunic, cardigan, you’re in for the win.

These leggings from Alo are definitely one of my favorites. The tummy support is just right. I own several pairs, washed them many times and they are still in great shape

Accessorize. Okay I get it, sweatpants or jammies are comfortable but you can up the ante by wearing jewelries or in my case, headband. You will look polished and ready to tackle the day.

I own tons of headbands, padded, skinny, you name it I have it. This headband with faux pearls is one of my most worn.

Wear prints but nothing too trendy . Fashion is a personal statement and you can wear what you want but if you like to set the mood of a business setting, choose prints that are on the professional side.

Animal print never goes out of style. It comes and goes but you always see it resurface season per season.

I hope you find these tips helpful. Heads up! I just opened my shop selling pre-loved items, mostly vegan luxury bags that were featured here on the blog or on my Youtube channel. I am constantly updating the shop so check back often. Mahalo!

  • Lovely outfits! Perfect choices!

  • I’ve been maintaining my work casual outfits while working from home the last month. I’ve brought out t-shirts maybe a hand full of times, but for the most part, I want to maintain structure/schedule. 🙂

  • You’ve shown some great comfortable yet stylish items.

  • I love all your outfit choices. They look comfortable but definitely professional. That pearl headband is gorgeous.

  • Laura

I really enjoy that first outfit! It looks so comfy and casual

I don’t like to stay in jammies all the time and need to dress a little just to feel normal. I’m just at home and have only had a handful of video calls, but dressing a little makes me feel better.

Totally agree. I had total of 4 virtual meetings today, I had to “dress up”

  • 25 Sweetpeas

I’ve been accessorizing a lot less, but trying to at least do earrings!

  • I haven’t really been able to be myself since working from home, especially with my 3 boys at home but these are good tips to try and make life seem more normal.

  • I pretty much wear sweatpants and tees for WFH because I also do housework throughout the day. I just don’t want to ruin nice clothes while I’m cleaning or cooking.

Good point. It’s a different case with me coz I still mirror my usual work hours so household chores will have to wait til I’m done.
Plus I do virtual consult with patients

  • Those outfits look both flattering and comfortable! I have pretty much been wearing makeup and what I normally do clothes-wise, but I wear stretchy stuff every day anyway, lol. One exception is if it is very warm I wear shorts, whereas when I am in the office I would wear a stretchy skirt. I just don’t want to wear out my skirts as it is hard to find ones I like and they are more expensive than shorts.
