As of this writing, the Amazon rainforest (the lungs of our planet) is burning in record rate. Unknown to most, the number one contributor to global warming is largely traced to deforestation to make way for animal agriculture. It is estimated that 15 billion trees are cut down every year with about 80% attributed to animal agriculture. Amazon is burning because of that. Not only this is a problem to our ailing planet but also to the animals that are killed and displaced from their habitat during the process. It’s a monstrous problem. Climate crisis is not a myth, it’s happening before our eyes. So every little step you and I can do to save the planet is all worth it. I chose to be vegan for the animals, planet, and health. By simply not consuming animals, you can reduce your carbon footprint by over 70% (read: how to save the planet in 3 ways).

I have a soft spot for companies that support certain causes especially if it has something to do with planet preservation. Enter The Organic Skin Co. and its promise to plant a tree for every product you purchase. With their ongoing partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects, their mission is to fulfill planting at least 100 million trees by 2020. Imagine if all companies will do the the same thing, are we somehow able to avert the problem we are facing? Something is better than nothing.
Earlier this year, I had the chance to try their products and I’m happy to share some more today that you can add to your beauty regimen! Take note, they are vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, all-natural. Tell me what’s not to love?

Did you find anything you’d like to try? Try one, try all!
I have 2 of their lovely lipsticks. I want to try their cream eyeshadow next. All the products you tried look terrific as well.
I need to try their The Good Oil Honeysuckle and Turmeric Face Oil! I don’t remember trying anything from this brand!
I love the mission behind the brand, but beside that I hear great things about the quality.
I’ve been very happy with what I have from The Organic Skin Co. I think the lip gloss is a beautiful shade. I’m looking forward to trying more from this great brand.
This is a great brand, I need to do a review soon!
The face oil sounds great. I am going to look up this brand now.
I’m curious what the Honeysuckle and Turmeric Face Oil smells like. Is it more woody from the calendula (since there is more of that than either the turmeric or honeysuckle)?
more like jojoba and almond oil combined
I love finding companies that are good for you and good for the environment!
