Hawaii Lifestyle Blogger Thefabzilla shares her thought on Kinder Beauty Box June subscription. Vegan and Cruelty-free

We’re half way done for this year, oh my! where did the time go? One thing I’m looking forward to is my summer vacation which is happening pretty soon… actually in time for my birthday on July 4. Two weeks of staycation, baby! Anyway, today I want to quickly share with you my Kinder Beauty Box June subscription featuring makeup and skincare products.

If you are unfamiliar, Kinder Beauty Box is a beauty subscription box that exclusively showcase vegan and cruelty-free products. For $24/month (free shipping), the value of the products retail over $70. Great way to try products, especially if you enjoy receiving makeups and/or skincare. The product inclusions are pre-determined; hence, there is no element of surprise or customization. I don’t read their newsletter so that I can “surprise” myself as I unbox it. Here are the products I received:

I want to start with the star of this box, the Inika Loose Mineral Bronzer in Sunkissed shade ($35). I like some of Inika’s products so I am thrilled to add this bronzer to my stash, it’s a nice summer staple! This mineral bronzer renders a golden bronze glow which compliments my skin tone. I also use it on my lids as eye makeup, like I always do with most of my bronzers (read: multitasking makeups).

This mist from Little Moon Essentials made me laugh. I mean, how can you not? they named this facial mist Tired Old Ass Overcome Exhaustion Mist (deluxe size, $5). Like I’m literally a tired old ass right now, stress is high my dahlings so a little smile from a quirky named product, as hilarious as it sounds, did win me here!

I also received 2 sample sizes of Evolv shampoo and conditioner ($15). This duo is lackluster, both didn’t wow me enough. I’m not looking for new haircare products that’s why. Plus I’m not willing to pay $15 for deluxe size products.

Believe it or not, much as I don’t really like receiving skincare from a beauty box (I already have holy grails), this moisturizer from a new-to-me brand Dear Self caught my fancy. I like that it has Vitamins A, C and E ($29.50). It also feels hydrating yet not heavy on the skin. My only gripe? look at the rim of the jar, it’s messy like that when I received it. They could’ve prevented the spillage with a seal.

Not part of the box but I thought I’d share with you this lovely denim fanny pack, aka bum bag or sling bag. This has been my weekend bag the past weeks especially when running errands. It’s so liberating not being able to curry purses either on my shoulder or arm. Plus, belt bag is trendy right now (blast from the past) so this is a cool way of accessorizing and updating my wardrobe.

Here’s a selfie of me wearing the Inika bronzer on my lids and face (lightly brushed along the temple, side face and jawline). I know you can hardly tell but that’s just my preference, nothing over the top when it comes to makeup.

Overall verdict: With the exception of haircare, June box is way better than May (reviewed here). Curious to try Kinder Beauty? here’s my invite for you!
