I love discovering makeups outside Sephora or Ulta so if you’re like me who’s looking into indie brands that are vegan and cruelty-free, Luscious Cosmetics got you covered! But before I spill the details, I’m excited to share to my readers and followers a 10% discount with code FABZILLA10 (unaffiliated).
Luscious Cosmetics was founded with the intention of making high quality cosmetics that are affordable without compromising on ingredients and harming the animals. This is important to me as a consumer because in my opinion, not testing on animals (cruelty-free) and not containing animals and their byproducts (vegan), should go hand in hand. Think of it this way: a product maybe cruelty-free but if it has ingredient that was sourced, produced, or harvested by harming an animal whether indirectly or directly, constitutes cruelty. Or in some cases, a product may be vegan but if the company is known to test on animals, then that’s cruelty as well. Another nice thing about Luscious Cosmetics products is that botanicals are utilized in most of their makeups; plus, wouldn’t you support a women-led company? girl boss goals!
Awaken (matte): soft flamingo pink
Petal (matte): watermelon pink
Orchid (matte): vivid peachy pink
Glisten (shimmer): sheer champagne gold
Radiant (shimmer): peach champagne
Lightful (shimmer): bronzed rose gold
If you’re looking for a blush palette that combines both matte and satin, this palette is worth checking out. I like that all the shades are wearable, and while these are for the cheeks, I also wear some of the shades as eye makeup. This palette retails for $32, decently priced for the outstanding quality, I must say!
This double-ended eyebrow pencil retails for $14. It has a built-in spoolie and fuss-free pencil which glides and applies smoothly.
Lastly, the Spellbinder makeup setting mist retails for $29. With summer just around the corner, a setting mist can help prevent makeup meltdown. I also use this to freshen my face at mid-day, especially at work! It has pineapple, rosewater and honeysuckle sans overwhelming fragrance (read: summer-proof makeup).
For my photos below, I am wearing Lightful and Glisten on my lids and Awaken on my cheeks. What a versatile palette, don’t you think so?
Have you tried anything from this brand? I am eyeing their lipsticks and face products next!
