I love face masks! Although I get professional facial at work every month (I made sure we offer vegan options!), it’s safe to say that I compliment it with great skincare at home. But aside from that, I associate at-home masking with me-time, a self-care indulgence I can totally dissociate myself with from all the worries of the outside world. Below are some of my go-to masks lately, all vegan and cruelty-free, and yes, they fit every budget (read: how to veganize your beauty stash)

Under $10: Derma e Purifying Charcoal Mask. Activated charcoal helps decongest pores. If you have oily, combination or acne-prone skin, this is a good mask for you as it “pulls out” the dirt and dead skin cells that contribute to acne formation. It also has very fine apricot seeds for gentle exfoliation. Looking to “detox” your underarm? yes, you can use this too!

Under $15: Andalou Naturals Rosewater Mask. For sensitive skin, this mask soothes and hydrates and while the name has rose in it, it does not have that overwhelming rose fragrance. It has a consistency akin to a moisturizer so this can pass for overnight mask as well.

Under $50: Herbivore Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask. It’s a cooling gel face mask with AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) and BHA (beta hydroxy acid) which help resurface and gently exfoliate the skin. Blue tansy is touted for its anti-inflammatory benefits.

Under $100: Elina Organics Aronia Berry Mask. Enriched with vitamin C and willow bark extract, this mask can help with sun-damaged complexion or minor case of hyperpigmentation. The consistency is similar to a serum as pictured above so yes, it can pass for another overnight mask. The short list of ingredients is also admirable!
