The Organic Skin Co vegan & Cruelty-Free Beauty

Hello beauties! Spring is right around the corner so it’s time to update my beauty routine: fresh and barely-there makeup with glowing skin! To welcome the exciting season ahead, I thought of giving my hair a fresh new take. Hello bangs! I cut them myself last Friday. My mom said I look 10 years younger, haha! Moms are biased, you know that. But even my husband likes it too so I guess I did a pretty decent job then.

In time for spring, I got introduced to The Organic Skin Co, a beauty company based out of New Zealand. Their ethos is deeply rooted on natural beauty and their products are mostly organic-derived. One admirable project that’s worth to mention is their partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects, with main focus on reversing deforestation as well as providing jobs to local indigenous communities worldwide. For every product you purchase, the company pledge to plant one tree! In addition, all their products are cruelty-free and vegan (read: how to veganize your beauty stash)

Notice the “glowing from within” look in the above photos? I attribute it to Primp N’ Prime. Infused with organic amla berry and pomegranate extracts, this primer-moisturizer has quite a sheen finish to it. There are two shades, lunar and rose gold. I have rose gold which is very lightly tinted and blends nicely with my complexion.

As a lipstick lover, I am very much excited to try Lip Service which is devoid of parabens, bismuth and gluten. I have the shade Terra, a berry brown shade which is quite sheer but easily buildable. I like that it hydrates my lips and while this shade does not compliment my skin tone, I’d be interested to try their other shades (12 in total).

Every time I mention that at low 60s here in Hawaii is super cold, my friends from the mainland laugh. I know, I’m all bundled up like there’s snow everywhere. But joking aside, this weather left me with dry patchy skin especially on my forehead so a Good Oil like this is a necessity. Look at the short list of ingredients, what you’re feeding your skin is as real as it gets.
