Hello my lovely readers! We’re back with another round of favorites (and not so). I realized that I kept showing you the same stuff over and over again, month in and out. While it clearly indicates that I love those products, repetitive posts become so boring and quite an overkill. I know that you are out to discover new vegan finds so moving forward, I will only feature those that I have tried from the previous month and select the best and worst, based from my experience. It will include makeup, skincare, fashion, even food! Why not, it’s a lifestyle blog after all. So let’s start with my favorites!
Zatik Gratitude Face Serum. Aside from being vegan and cruelty-free, it’s USDA certified-organic, gluten-free, soy-free, alcohol-free, paraben-free,and Non-GMO. Key ingredients include seaweed extract and organic herb medley which explains the quite earthy fragrance on first sniff but it does dissipate after few minutes. I use it at night in combination with Vitamin C and moisturizer. I like the fact that I wake up with nicely hydrated skin so it’s certainly a keeper! Exclusive to my fabulous readers and subscribers: Get 15% off your purchase with code fab15 plus free shipping for orders $50 and above! Promo expires May 31, 2019.

Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair strength + moisture leave-in-mask. It’s a spray leave-in conditioner sans sulfates, silicone and paraben. It does not weigh my hair down. I spray it on damp hair, second and third-day hair. With my hair recently colored, it needs all the TLC it can get!

Vitamin C helps brighten the complexion, a good preventive and maintenance product for mild cases of hyperpigmentation. Biossance Squalane + Glycolic Renewal Facial. This is similar to Drunk Elephant Sukari Baby Facial which is a staple in my skincare stash. I apply it for about 10-15 minutes then wash off with a warm damp towel. I like that it renders baby-smooth feeling after rinsing, at least based on my experience. I also like that it has a scooper, mainly for hygienic reasons. As you know, glycolic acid helps brighten the complexion, again a good preventive and maintenance product for milds cases of hyperpigmentation (read: how to shop vegan at Sephora).

Balm Shell Facial Cleansing Balm. I stood corrected when I said in this video that I don’t think I’ll purchase it given that it’s quite pricey ($48). I got it from my Love Goodly box subscription which I canceled last month. But as fate would have it, I ended up liking it because it removes makeup effortlessly. I also like the combination of coconut oil, mango butter, shea butter, rosehip seed oil, lavender oil, rose absolute, helichrysum oil, abyssinian oil, nroli oil
Milk Lip Color. Finally, the only makeup included! This is a newly-released lipstick line from MILK. It’s hydrating with superb color pay-off. I am thinking of adding two more shades. This is Deuces, a rosy nude shade which is great for everyday wear (watch the video below to see it in action).
Abound Alyx Strappy Low Wedge Sandals. I call these as your cute spring and summer sandals. I have two pairs, one in black (faux leather) and brown (faux suede, as worn in the photo). They’re true to size and comfortable to wear. For only $40, I think these are a steal!
Unbranded Kate Walker Lookalike Sunnies. When I posted a picture of moi wearing these shades on my IG story, some of you asked me what brand. Surprise, surprise! I got both of these for less than $20 from Amazon, unbranded. They look like Karen Walker sunnies which retail for $250. Chic and cheap, agree?!
Endangered Species Dark Chocolates (Cranberries & Almonds) You guys, I’ve been avoiding chocolate for several years because of really bad reaction to it: headaches! So I was slowly desensitizing myself from it by eating tiny bits spread throughout the week and guess what, so far no headaches! I like this flavor from Endangered Species. It’s 72% cocoa and 10% of the profit goes to the preservation of endangered species.
Curious to see what made it to FAIL list? you have to watch the video and find out why.
