It’s few days left before we bid goodbye to 2018 so I thought of sharing with you my recent finds in the realm of vegan beauty which you can add now or in time for the new year.
Let me start with this fabulous book penned by my good friend Courtney from Phyrra. It’s a makeup book dedicated to us hooded-eye ladies! Either ethnicity or aging-related (both in my case), we can all learn a thing or two from Courtney who continues to amaze me with her makeup skills. You can buy the book from Amazon for less than $20. Aside from makeup tips, she also shares her cruelty-free recommendations such as palettes and brushes! (Read: makeup hacks for aging skin)
Applying makeup requires a nice mirror that’s both lighted and with magnification add-on, especially if natural lighting is an issue in your makeup room or bathroom. If you’re looking to update your mirror without breaking the bank, this trifold mirror from fancii fits the bill for under $70! It is powered by 4 AA batteries or USB connector, has 5x and 10x magnification and adjustable angle. It sits perfectly on my home office desk which also doubles as my makeup table.
Are you a fan of Kat Von D Lolita shade? she has a new collection comprised of eyeshadow palette, glimmer lipstick and eyeliner. I have the palette and lipstick (swatched on the video below). The eyeshadows are matte and richly pigmented. The glimmer lipstick adds a gorgeous dimension to any lip color such as the original Lolita studded kiss lipstick. I wore some of the shades from the eyeshadow palette for my Christmas FOTD, just to up my look amidst the frenzy of cooking.
Winter skincare calls for more hydration such as this powerhouse combo from Derma-E, hydrating night cream and eye cream so I’m happy to add these to my routine. I will be doing a more thorough review later so be sure to follow along. Lastly, how about some holiday glow with Pixiglow cake? it’s a 3-in-1 luminous powder (highlighter-blush-bronzer) presented ombre style. If you watch the video below, you will see a mishap that happened.
