Fall season excites me more than words can describe. The level of excitement is akin to my anticipation of Thursday, my favorite day, because it signals “the weekend is here”. So the first day of fall to me is like “the holidays are here”. I know, I’m weird like that.

Last week, I shared fabulous ways to welcome fall in four aspects: beauty, fashion, food and fitness. This time around, and in collaboration with my fellow beauty bloggers, I will be more specific as to my favorite makeup look, dewy skin for the win ladies!

To achieve dewy and youthful skin, the “not-so-secret secret” lies on lightweight foundation such as my go-to foundation ILIA True Skin. So what makes this quite unique from my other vegan and cruelty-foundations (read how to veganize your beauty)? first, the list of naturally derived ingredients is impressive. Considering that I have combination skin, I find that it doesn’t make my face look greasy but rather radiant. While having dinner with my friend, she actually complimented how my face looks so smooth and glowing under the light, and this foundation had been on for over 8 hrs straight. When a woman, a very close friend for that matter for 30 years compliments you, you better believe her!

**Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, *Coconut Alkanes, Caprylyl Methicone, *Polyglyceryl-6 Polyricinloleate, *Cetearyl Isononanoate, *Polyglyceryl-2 Isostearate, *Boron Nitride, Dimethicone, *Disteardimonium Hectorite, *Oryza Sativa (Rice) Hull Powder, *Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, *Gluconolactone. Contains 1% or Less of Each of the Following: *Glycerin, Isopentyldiol, *Sodium Chloride, *Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, *Sodium Benzoate, *Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, *Adansonia Digitata Seed Oil, **Rosa Moschata Seed Oil, *Sclerocarya Birrea (Marula) Oil, **Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, *Squalane, *Tocopherol, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, *Pentylene Glycol, *Pistacia Lentiscus (Mastic) Gum, *Hydrogenated Lecithin, *Calcium Gluconate, *Ethylhexylglycerin, *Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower/Leaf Extract, *Phenethyl Alcohol, Bisabolol. May Contain (+/-): Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Iron Oxides (Ci 77499, Ci 77491, Ci 77492).

My next tip is to lightly dust a transclucent setting powder (Hourglass Veil) under the eyes, side of the face, and nose bridge using a fan brush. I don’t powder my entire face because it defeats the purpose of dewy and radiant skin.

To complete this simple day-friendly look, I opted for minimal eye makeup. This particular palette from b-glowing (Illuminate + Shine) has all the shades that are fall-appropriate. It does have an eye base and highlighter and eight neutral shades, presented in a classy faux leather case with built-in mirror. Handy and travel-friendly, I like that a lot.

This creamy eyeshadow from Au Naturale (watch my Whole Foods Haul video) is a lovely addition to my stash. I like to use it as an eye base to make the eyeshadow last a tad longer.

Having well-groomed and natural-looking brows are ride-or-die-for me. This brow pomade from Kat Von D (taupe) has been a constant fixture in my vanity.

A new-to-me brand, I am glad to have discovered this lip gloss from Clove + Hallow (Candied Hearts). It applies nicely and as you can see from my photos above, it gives my lips a sexy pouty “lift” sans fillers.

What about you? what’s your favorite look for fall?
