I love it when I see women wearing sun hat, I think it’s a fabulous way to accessorize, and smart for that matter because they know the drill as far as sun protection is concerned. Whenever I go out, I see to it that I have one stashed in the car! So for today’s post, I thought I’d share with you my favorite hats that I rotate at any given time, especially now that summer heat is quickly inching in (read my top beach essentials).
You’ve seen me wear this floppy hat many times already, whether on the blog or Instagram. This is by far my favorite wide-brimmed hat because it has the right size which perfectly cuddles my small head while giving me enough shield in and around my face. It has a string secretly tucked inside that you can pull if you need to adjust, because running after windblown hat is cardio, haha! Well, you get what I mean!
I call this straw fedora hat Bruno Mars because it reminds me of him (I’m sure you know that he’s from Hawaii!). I wear this mostly when I am out and about doing errands like grocery shopping, you know, the quick in-and-out ones that don’t require too much time outside. Living in the tropics, I am pretty mindful of sun protection even past summertime. This hat has a drawstring as well so I don’t need to worry about holding it when it’s windy (read how to veganize your wardrobe).
This sun visor was passed on to me by my mom because she realized that the floral details are too “young” for her age. So when she was showing it to me via Facetime, I told her to just send it over, alongside the “Meghan Markle” bucket straw hat on the right. I call it as such because of the stylish bow and two-toned color combination.
On a side note, now is the time to wear tie-dye outfits. I usually stay away from patterns but depending on the style and cut, summertime is a good excuse to go outside my comfort zone. I buy all of my outfits pretty much from Hautelook via Nordstrom Rack app, this maxi jumpsuit included (read how to buy & wear jumpsuits).

These are really great looking sun hats! It is so important to get that added protection from the sun!
I still love your floppy hat. I need to pick one up!
This post came into my life at just the right time because I’ve been wanting to get myself a nice hat or 2 for summer. The floppy hat is my favorite! You wear them all so well!
Awesome! Yes, rock those summer hats!
Great summer hats. I don’t have as much occasion to wear them as you do but I’d follow your example if I did.
Thanks! I wear hats when I’m just going out shopping coz it’s really hot here
Going on a tour tomorrow and bringing either my big floppy straw hat or a baseball hat. 🙂 I do adore that buckle straw hat – it’s adorable!
Yay! Have a great time tomorrow
It’s hilarious that you named the hats! I like the first, floppy one the best.
Haha! I wore Bruno today while shopping
I look funny in most sun hats due to the shape of my head and face. However, I think the last hat, the bucket straw hat I could try to make work.
Be nice to yourself, you’re beautiful just the way you are. Wear the hat and just rock it. xox
All of these look so cute on you!

I got a few cute ones at Nordstrom Rack. They are perfect for summer sun.
Yay! That’s where I got the floppy and Bruno Mars fedora via HauteLook Nordstrom Rack app
Your hats are cute!
Thanks much
I always wear a hat when outside. I most have been wearing plain black baseball caps, but also have some broader brimmed felt ones.
I’m obsessed with your floppy hat, 100000%!
Haha, thanks 10000000000%
Your bucket straw hat is just fabulous! I’m not much of a hat person in general since the wind always picks up and I lose mine in no time.
Thanks Jen. Get something with drawstring so it will hug your head.
You wear hats so well! I always feel awkward with them.
I love wide brimmed hats, they offer some extra protection against the sun in the summer, and you know I am all about that no-tan life haha 🙂
The big, floppy hat is my favorite! I tend to look goofy in hats, but I still love that one lol.
Love the black one with the straw brim–so cute and unique!
