New year. New look. After seven years of blogging via Blogger, I finally switched to WordPress.
I have been meaning to do this for the longest time but was afraid to do it but like I always say, the more we push our plans further, the farther we are in achieving our goals. So to welcome 2018, I did it with much gusto! I have a lot of evergreen content and creative plans in mind but I cannot do it unless I begin with a design revamp and SEO-enriched site. I still have a lot to learn about WordPress so even if it means sacrificing my treasured weekends and weeknights to sharpening my saw, I am glad to take this personal challenge! I owe it to you my dear readers. You were there for me since day one. You’ve seen my crappy photos evolved, watched me aged, embraced a compassionate lifestyle.
My focus this year is to create engaging content centered on vegan lifestyle. As some of you know, I have been on a plant-based diet for over a decade initially as a personal challenge, I willed it, done it and so far reaping the rewards, health-wise. Then I fully embraced veganism last year driven by deep compassion to our beloved animals, it’s the reason why you don’t see me posting any brands or products made from animal or its byproducts anymore. This decision is the most liberating ever, given that my lifestyle now is fully aligned from the food I eat to products I use or wear. I’m going to tell you that I was met with resistance and insult by some people I know but it didn’t faze me because this is my life, my health. Highlight of 2017? my husband (ultimate carnivore) turned vegan in August, out of his own freewill, and never looked back. To those considering to transition or try the amazing benefits of plant-based diet, I wrote a complete 101 guide on the blog last year. You will also see my ten-year journey, how I started and why.
So moving forward, expect to see some recipes and more fitness or health-related topics doused in between my other passions: beauty and fashion. Once again, mahalo nui loa for your continued support.
