Vegan Faux Snake Skin Textile BagNot too long ago, I received a question if I have accidentally vegan favorites. The answer is yes, of course! Accidentally vegan means products or brands, mainstream or not, that are not marketed or labeled as vegan but just happens to contain zero animal or its byproducts. For example, Lay’s Potato Chips (original/ barbecue), Wheat Thins, even Pringles (original). I’m not a huge snacker so these don’t obviously do not qualify as products I love or endorse with confidence. Reality is, you can be vegan but unhealthy by consuming calorie-dense junk food and that’s not the route I want you to undertake (read how to transition to plant-based).

While accidentally vegan generally pertains to food, I am expanding it to include some fashion staples you can add to your wardrobe and feel good about the fact that no animal was harmed. Such is the case with this textile (yes it is!) snake skin satchel-crossbody bag I snagged from Hautelook. It got me so creative that I tucked it in between the branches so it looks like a snake, sssssss.

The ring holder gives it a modern vibe and the faux leather strap makes it a convenient crossbody bag when I am doing errands. At work, I prefer structured bags like Angelo Roi as featured from this post.

Another accidentally vegan favorite is this pair of slippers from Ted Baker, again a great find from Hautelook. I live in Hawaii so slippahs (as we call it) like these are staples. C’mon, look how cute they are! I can’t wait to wear them more often, spring speed up!

When shopping for bags and shoes, I type in either vegan or faux leather in the search tab. Fake leather is cheap thus most are poorly made. But times are changing because with the rise of vegan demographics come lucrative market opportunities. If you’re looking for vegan luxury handbags other than Stella MacCartney, check out my handbag collection featuring Angela Roi.

Can we go back to food again? I don’t know about you guys but I love me some Tabasco or Sriracha sauce. I don’t use both all the time but in days I want to spice up my meal, it’s always nice to have something I can easily pull from the pantry. Accidentally vegan? ha I told you so.
