Style and Makeup Diary | Fall Trends

Aloha my lovely readers and friends! I’m happy to be back with another video for y’all! Thank you for your encouraging feedback last week when I initially “launched” my first style and makeup video.    This week, I thought of showing you how I incorporate some fall trends to my daily outfits vis-a-vis makeup looks. You may have already noticed my predilection towards comfortable yet chic style coupled with fondness for dark or bright lips. I hope you like this week’s offering, for one, we’re getting better at editing, yay!

Athleisure: just a fancy name for sporty chic outfit.

Harlowe and Graham gray keyhole mock neck top

Black capri

Nike dunk sky hi sneakers (similar)

Choose one studded item to rock and keep the rest of the look minimal. In the video, I was wearing a studded top (here’s a cute style I found at Macy’s, it’s on sale!)

Statement Leggings

Think snake print, herringbone or mixed material (just like what I wore in the video, it has faux leather detail on the side. I found it on sale at Hautelook, last few sizes left!)

Ballet flats

Comfortable yet chic enough to wear for work or when running errands. You’ve seen me wear these Born flats many times!

White sneakers

They are so versatile, needless to say! My favorite is from Tory Burch.

Layered or on its own, it’s a fall must-wear (lots of style on sale at Gap)!

Lattice top

Harlow and Graham (similar style)

I work in a very cold office so while my “definition” of fall isn’t the same as you guys in the mainland, I always, always, always layer! One of my favorites is this cardigan shawl from ecoskin which I snagged from Hautelook!

Purple lips: Nars Audacious Dominique

Vampy lips: Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick Vamp

Oxblood lips: Burberry Lip Velvet Oxblood

Lazy bun: Use claw instead of hair tie to create a messy-lazy bun. Accessorize with nice earrings so you don”t look like you just woke up, haha!

what’s your favorite fall trend?

I love those wedge sneakers. I just bought a pair of wedge Derbys and can't wait to break them in.

Wow, I'm even more impressed with this video! You sure are a quick learner. I must give it a try one of these days, but I find editing so daunting. Love your looks. The shawl cardigan was such a unique piece, my favorite, I think

Aww, thanks so much Allyson. There's so much to learn. Wish I have a photographer or videographer following me so I can make even more decent videos, haha! Wish my dog can take photos of me instead of sleeping on the side when I make these videos, lol

My favorite fall trend is the rolled up jeans and booties. I haven't tried it, but I think it's cute. I've seen some coworkers sport it very nicely!

Yes, try it! I'm petite so I roll up jeans most of the time 🙂

My favorite pair of shoes are ballet flats. I have a pair by Hush Puppies and they are cute, ultra comfy and wear like iron. I've had them for a couple of years and they still look new.

That ABH lipstick in Vamp is seriously the pettiest thing ever. Love it on you!

I basically do all of these trends too…especially layering! lol

You are my lipstick muse! I love my ballet flats for the cooler weather here, too.
