The Best $9 Spent On Haircare

Quick post as Ulta’s currently running a buy 1, get 1 50% off for OGX. Last month, I briefly featured Argan Oil of Morocco Miracle In-Shower Oil by OGX. Now half-consumed, I can officially say that this is the best $9 spent on haircare! Dirt-cheap but unparalleled performance in terms of taming my freeze vis-a-vis moisturizing my chemically treated long and wavy hair! The best part, it does not weigh my hair down or make it look greasy. Just shiny and silky, here’s the proof (the morning after, natural hair, no styling tool used; for reference, I wash my hair 2-3x/ week).

I am extra nitpicky when it comes to hair products because I have tried aplenty that promised heaven but landed in purgatory at the very least. So how do you use this little miracle then?

It’s not carved in stone but I use it as the final step after rinsing the conditioner. I wring my hair to remove excess water, apply this shower oil directly onto my hair (concentrating on ends then run my fingers up to the roots), wrap my hair in a towel for 20 minutes (I do facial mask on the side, unwrap hair, and just let my hair air-dry overnight). My hair stays soft, tangle-free and silky even on the 3rd day without reapplying this oil. So yes, I took advantage of the Ulta sale!

Your hair always looks great and now I know the secret! I've only used this brand once and the fragrance was a little too strong for me but I'm getting more tolerant of fragrance so I should try it again.

I wasn't a fan of OGX shampoos; they were too harsh on my fried frizz-fest. But I need an in-shower oil in my life! What a genius step!

I just tried OGX Coconut Curls shampoo, conditioner, and mousse – and I couldn't believe how awesome it was. I hadn't used mousse on my thick, curly hair in years and years, and I'm in love with the OGX one. I also think their bottles are super cute. They look and feel like an expensive brand.

This sounds awesome! I have tried some things from this line with mixed results.
