Lipstick fanatics agree in unison, Anastasia Beverly Hills has one of the best formula in the category of pigment-hugging, infinite-wearing and non-drying liquid lipsticks. When I saw the new spring shades popping online (8 in total), I hurriedly ordered 3, one a namesake so I had to get it no matter what. Scroll down for more photos, swatches and lippies in action!
The shades I gladly procured were Kathryn (yay for the name!) which is reddish brown, Crush (soft beige) and Soft Lilac (pale violet). They apply quite glossy but dry to a beautiful matte finish in ten seconds or so. The doe foot applicator is drenched in pigment which renders full opacity in one swipe. The secret to applying liquid lipstick as seamless as possible is to moisturize your lips at least five minutes prior. I don’t know about you but I start on the bottom lip, lightly smack, then apply on the upper lip.
Unless you chow down food oozing in grease or deliberately remove with force, the wear time is past eight hours, sans transfer on clothes, hands, coffee mug, even water jug. It is also waterproof, that’s how hardcore this lipstick is. Hence, it’s a must-have for women who don’t want to be bothered with retouching and whatnot. Check out the other shades I have reviewed in the past, they are as stunning as these trio! Wait, upon closer inspection, I discovered that I wrongly ordered Soft Lilac because I was eyeing Madison (plum magenta) but checked out with the former. And guess what, I already own Soft Lilac, but that’s fine because this shade is one of my favorites! Lesson learned, don’t order online when you’re half-awake and tired, haha!
Just add e and it’s Kathryne. Don’t you love it when a product happens to be your name? Amazing isn’t it?! Here they are in action:
