If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you are probably aware of my predilection towards matte lipsticks. I love them like my own babies, for real! When they were all the rage in the 90s, you bet this teenybopper back then was slayin’ em. Fast-forward to present-day trend, my madness over matte-ness lingers and it has become my trivial mission to hunt for the next best matte lipstick. Will Youngblood Intimatte Mineral Matte Lipstick wow me enough? read further for the scoop and juice!
I have three bestseller shades from the Intimatte Mineral Matte line: Flirt (coral), Fever (tomato red), and Sinful (red). Aside from being cruelty-free, these lipsticks are richly-pigmented and infused with Vitamin E, and safflower seed oil which help hydrate and honeysuckle flower extract for added antioxidant protection. They are housed in chic matte black tubes with embossed YB logo on cap. There’s a whiff of candy scent which makes them even more endearing. They drag a bit on initial use but after they have warmed up, application does become effortless. The slanted tip hugs my lips with utter precision.
Flirt, Fever, and Sinful are new shades for Spring. Retailing for $19 each, the quality is at par with some of my favorite luxury brand matte lipsticks such as Dolce and Gabbana and Charlotte Tilbury. I get about five hours wear time with some leftover stain after a meal. Here are swatches for your better judgement. Fever is my number one pick because it suits my skin tone, followed by Flirt and Sinful.
Overall, I am in love with these matte lipsticks. I just purchased few more shades to add to my expanding collection so watch out for part 2 of my review…
