Argan oil is one of the most in demand ingredient in the realm of natural and organic skincare. Exclusively sourced from Morocco, it offers a gamut of benefits due to its rich antioxidant, vitamin E, and fatty acids component. I had the opportunity to try some products from a new-to-me brand, Marie D’Argan Paris. Scroll down for more details and overall thoughts.

Recently launched in the US market, Marie D’Argan products are formulated in France using organic argan oil via a cold press micro-filtration procedure. As a way of giving back to the community, a portion of its sale is channeled to a woman’s cooperative fund in Essaouira, Morocco to support the local farmers who handpick the kernels used in their products.
Let’s start my review by revisiting my usual skincare routine. As you know, I change up products from time to time but the process remain constant. And yes, I do mix products that I love from different brands and create my own anti-aging cocktail of sorts. Nighttime is more elaborate in the sense that I layer products upon products for maximum absorption and efficacy. High maintenance, I don’t deny it. But seeing how my skin has improved from being lackluster to youthful is reason enough for me to continue what I’m doing. With that said, I am more than ecstatic to welcome Marie D’Argan Night Repair Cream (50ml, $59) to my growing list of favorites. For one, I like the consistency because it has the right amount of creaminess akin to a serum. Used on its own, it feels lightweight and gets absorbed onto the skin quite fast. Used in combination with other serums, I like the supple and glowing skin I see.
What the brand says “Marie d’Argan Night Cream is a revitalizing treatment that is formulated to repair and rejuvenate the skin while you sleep.Vitamin E in Argan oil promotes skin hydration while Hyaluronan stimulates repair and promotes regeneration of cellular structure. Royal Jelly moisturizes and helps to protect skin from premature aging”.
My daytime skincare is more streamlined: wash and moisturize (with spf) but that’s because I use BB or CC cream which, as most of you know, is makeup with skincare add-ons. Marie D’Argan Day Cream SPF 15 (50ml, $59) also feels lightweight and does not make my face look greasy when used under makeup. There is slight tightening effect which in turn helps reduce pore size.
What the brand says “Marie d’Argan day cream hydrates and protects the skin while leaving it feeling light and fresh. Vitamin E in Argan oil nourishes the skin, Collagen and Elastin rejuvenate skin and help correct imperfections, and Aloe stimulates natural defenses and hydrates the skin.”
Marie D’Argan Nigella Sativa Oil (50ml, $49) has been used for centuries for its healing and moisturizing benefit. It is made from black cumin plant endemic to Mediterranean and Southwest Asia. It can be used either on the face (in combination with Marie D’Argan cream), hair or scalp. While I like its all-natural, extra-hydrating formula, I wasn’t a fan of the scent. To me, either you make a product unscented or olfactory-pleasing. It has an earthy spice kick to it which unfortunately affected the way I experience the product. But see, the way we perceive and interpret smell is totally relative.
What the brand says “The legendary oil of Egypt: Nigella Sativa Oil was found in the tomb of Tutankhamun. It is believed that Cleopatra used it regularly for the care of her skin.”
are you using argan oil?
Ohh, I like the sound of this! My dry skin drinks stuff like this up!
I love argan oil. However, that scent would be a deal breaker for me.
Sounds great. My skin is already feeling dry this Spring…
Other than the smell of the serum the line sounds good.
This sounds like a line that I would really love! I need to try this!
This brand sounds pretty impressive!
I love argan oil anything but the scent wouldn't do it for me either!
I love using oils on my skin, always leaves it super soft!
I'll have to check this skincare range out

The oil sounds so lovely. I use oils all the time and so glad you put this on my radar!
I love argan oil – but don't think I'd like the scent you described :/
There is nothing wrong with High Maintenance skin care – I think over anything else… that should be the most important… and there's a reason why you look like you're in your 20s and I still get told I do as well. It's important. I love using Oils… I moisturize with coconut oil each night and a blend of jojoba oil and argan oil sometimes. I think I would enjoy this line.
