Today’s post will focus on the beauty of minimal makeup using Pixi’s Book of Beauty Face Palette. Featuring 2 highlighters, 2 cheek shades and 4 eye shadows, this palette is made for the everyday neutral girl in you.
Made from cardboard with plastic see-through window, you get a glimpse of the products waiting for your tender finger or brush to use them in all their glory. There is a mix of matte (flesh and dark brown) and sheen (light brown and mauve) eyeshadows, matte peachy pink blush, sheen bronzer, dark and light highlighters. They are all moderately pigmented, consistent with the barely-there makeup look this palette is going for so if you’re into richly pigmented colors, you may find this quite bland to your liking.
For my makeup below, I used the matte flesh eye shadow as base for eye makeup, then layered with sheen mauve shade. I used matte dark brown shade for my eyebrows and upper lash line. I have used the peachy pink blush and light highlighter for that ethereal glow.
Other products used: Guerlain Terracota Joli Teint (natural, medium shade reviewed here), Pixi Brightening Peach (reviewed here), Guerlain Meteorites Compact Medium 3 (reviewed here), Lancome Hypnose Mascara, Chantecaille Lip Chic Wild Rose (reviewed here).
