As common as it sounds, wearing red lips isn’t as common, at least to some women I know who find this shade intimidating. But with a ‘lil attitude and foolproof tricks, I guarantee you’ll be painting the town red like nobody’s ‘biz! For today’s tutorial, I used mainly Pixi products, as demonstrated below.

Exfoliate and moisturize. Pixi Nourishing Lip Polish is an exfoliant and moisturizer in one, t’was love at first swipe because of the minimal grit and hydration it renders! After skincare and before makeup application, apply this all over the lips and leave on for five minutes or so. Lightly remove the excess with facial tissue.

Contour invisibly. Works like a lip liner and more, Pixi Lip Contour Liner Invisible Smudge Stopper prevents unsightly feathering and over-drawn lips. Use it to line the corner of your mouth, as shown below.

Rock the perfect red. Red is interpreted in hundred and one ways so it all boils down to your preference: tinted, matte, gloss, sheen, liquid, cream, ombre, fiery, pinkish, berry, and so much more.  Pixi Mattelustre Lipstick Raspberry Blush is pinkish red, a great lip color for Spring! It applies evenly and feels soft on the lips.
