Well, well, well…this blog happens to be on a drugstore kick this week! Although I naturally gravitate towards luxury brands, it can’t be denied that drugstore counterparts are upping their game in the ever so competitive beauty league. This is great news for the greater majority because as the “perceived quality” gap between luxe and affordable brand becomes narrower, more consumers get to experience superior products without breaking the bank. Today let’s zero in to Garnier SkinActive and see if the following products are right up your alley.

Micellar water is one of my favorite ways to remove makeup because it’s gentle and rinse-free (a huge plus when you’re just too lazy to do the works, haha!). But really, I am impressed how Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water delivers exactly the same benefit as department store brands. It removes dirt, gunk, grime, crud, filth and all kinds of makeup residue you can think of. I’ve used it on my face, eyes, lips, and neck and liked how it makes my skin look cleaner. But being the skincare freak that I am, I just can’t hit the sack without washing my face, toning, applying toner and moisturizer. This micellar water is dermatologist-tested, oil/alcohol/fragrance-free and works for all skin types.
Aqua/Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Isohexadecane, Potassium Phosphate, Sodium Chloride, Hexylene Glycol, Dipotassium Phosphate, Disodium Edta, Decyl Glucoside, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide.
Garnier Ultra-Lift Miracle Wake-Up Cream is another fascinating find. The formula is a cross between gel and cream, neither thick nor thin but applies wet and gets absorbed onto the skin quite fast. It’s a moisturizer which claims to reverse signs of fatigue, a tall order for someone who’s battling fatigue every single day (I need a good amount of sleep first and foremost, and a concealer!) But seriously, makeup tricks can fake haggard-ness my ladies! While I can’t attest to its anti-fatigue statement, my skin does feel supple and soft after application!
Aqua / Water, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Propanediol, Dimethicone/Peg-10/15 Crosspolymer, Polymethylsilsesquioxane Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Chloride, Propylene Glycol, Chlorphenesin Ascorbyl Glucoside, Tocopherol, P-Anisic Acid, Disodium Edta, Parfum / Fragrance, Peg-10 Dimethicone, Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Dipropylene Glycol, Sorbitol, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit Extract Sodium Citrate, Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Salicylate, Citronellol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Ci 42090 / Blue 1.
Garnier Clearly Brighter Brightening and Smoothing Daily Moisturizer SPF 15 is a moisturizer and sunscreen in one. If there’s one thing worth raving about this is the absence of typical yet annoying sunscreen fragrance. It smells citrusy and applies smooth without the white cast effect. I have been using this every mornings under makeup and so far I like how it moisturize and protect my face against harmful UV rays.

Have you tried any of these?
I've been wondering about the Garnier Micellar Water. I want to finish up my bottle of Simple Micellar Water that stings my eyes first, but if Garnier doesn't sting and I can use it to remove eye makeup that would be awesome
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water sounds like a good product. I guess I'm kind of a skincare freak also, because I always wash my face after using micellar cleansing water.
I have not tried any of these, but clearly I need to try them– especially the micellar water.

I've been testing these as well, and love them! The Micellar Water is definitely impressive!
I've been using the micellar and daily moistureizer and have been really impressed by them.
This sounds pretty awesome! I've tried a sample of the Micellar from Simple and liked it… I need to pick up a full size of one of them soon!
I really have to grab some Micellar Water to try! I can't believe I never have despite all the buzz!
