I hope you don’t get tired of the same old litany I preach on the blog when it comes to skincare. Start young, wear sunscreen, avoid tanning, quit smoking, drink water, moisturize…repeat. Trust me, your skin will thank you later! Speaking of moisturization, I had opportunity to try another remarkable product from Strivectin, the Multi-Action Restorative Cream ($95, 50ml/1.7 fl oz).

A true multi-tasker by all means, this product claims to address 12 prominent signs of aging: fine lines, wrinkles, density, firmness, sagging, rough texture, dehydration, dullness, discoloration, diminished clarity and resilience, enlarged pores. While some of these are overlapping, I do have enlarged pores, dullness and minor discoloration. Wrinkles and fine lines have not set in but that’s because I walk the talk. With that said, my review will focus on those specific issues I cited.
Aqua (Water, Eau), Glyceryl Stearate, Propanediol, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Isopropyl Palmitate, Glycerin, Undecane, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Tridecane, Caprylic/Capryl Triglyceride, Cetyl Alcohol, PEG-100 Stearate, Dimethicone, Glycol Distearate, Myristyl Nicotinate, Tocopherol, Allantoin, Panthenol, Pentylene Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Secale Cereale (Rye) Seed Extract, Tetradecyl Aminobutyroylvalylaminobutyric Urea Trifiuoroacetate, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, Caprylyl Glycol, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2, Magnesium Chloride, Disodium EDTA, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol.
This cream is thick but feels ever so light on the face. Used alone, my skin feels tauter and more supple. I notice slight reduction on pore size and better adherence of liquid and/or powder foundation which makes it a nice primer-slash-moistuizer in one. At night time, I use this in combination with Strivectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner (reviewed here) to improve my skin’s over-all clarity and texture; so far, I’m really liking the outcome (on my 3rd week now). I know it sounds a tad pricey for a tub but this will probably last me six months because I only need tiny swipe to deliver the elusive promise of youth! The only con is the packaging itself, germaphobes like moi don’t like anything that can potentially introduce microbes. Needless to say, scoop out with clean finger or q-tip please!
This sounds amazing!
I'm enjoying this anti-aging cream too, and experiencing similar results. Another great product from StriVectin!
Moisture and priming? Yes please!
GIMME! I had such a great experience with the other Strivectin product I used!
I need more StriVectin in my life. This sounds wonderful. BTW I bought a slew of plastic spatulas on ebay that I use with a jar like this. I wash it after I use it, keep it in my drawer and they last me about a week before I feel it needs to be tossed. I've used q-tips too and usually break off the fuzzy so I don't get any of it in the cream.
Another great Strivectin product!
This sounds so great. I love how multi-tasking it is.
I've been using this, too, and I love it. It works so well with my oily skin, and you're right – I only need the tiniest bit to cover my whole face.
With skin care, if it works, it's worth it!
I got this cream a few weeks ago but still haven't gotten around to trying it. So glad to hear that you like it!
This is such a great cream, and your review of it is fantastic, as always!!
I like that it feels light on the skin, heavy moisturizers annoy me so much!
This sounds really nice! Also, I don't think I've been on your blog for a couple weeks- looking good!
I haven't tried any Strivectin products yet, but this cream sounds fabulous.
Sounds good — would I put this on before or after my sunscreen? I'm guessing it would be StriVectin Multi, then sunscreen, then foundation. Is this right?
