October Empties + I Hit Pan!

Before you and I get pretty excited and busy for the Halloween, ‘thought I’d showcase what I finished for the month of October, beauty-wise! Ready? I sure am *insert witch laugh*

guerlain lingerie de peau powder foundation, murad, marc jacobs, arcona, evian, the body, cetaphil

Let’s count… hmmm, ‘quite impressive for the month of October because there are 10 products in total; plus, I hit pan. So before I cast spell on you, let’s revisit my lovely empties one last time…

murad time release acne cleanser, murad hydrating toner, murad advanced radiance serum, arcona triad pads review

It’s raining Murad, 3 products consumed to the last drop! Murad Time Release Acne Cleanser is one of my favorites since 2007 (yes even before moi gave birth to this blog). For someone with occasional breakouts even in adulthood, this cleanser has sustained-release salicylic acid which helps clear skin without over drying. It also contains amino and hyaluronic acid for hydration. Time and again, I have mentioned my proclivity towards Vitamin C in skincare; Murad Advanced Active Radiance Serum is another winner in my stash. I use it in combination with retinol for brighter, more supple and even skin tone. Facial mists like Murad Hydrating Toner and Evian are purse must-haves. I spritz my face with either one at mid-day, post-workout, or whenever my face yearns for rehydration. Arcona Triad Pads are pre-soaked round cotton pads with inviting cranberry fragrance. It’s my favorite toner to-date; in fact I have already repurchased it!

the body shop body curb, cetaphil, review

If there’s one item that has become a popular mainstay in my monthly empties post, it has to be The Body Shop Body Scrub. I buy all variants whenever I can, no shame! Almost everything that I have tried have the right grit-feel to them which is great for exfoliation. So there, two tubs down for October! Makeup wipes, in particular Cetaphil and Clean and Clear, are runner-ups. Why not, they’re effective in removing makeups, plus they’re pretty cheap I can hoard without guilt!

guerlain lingerie de peau powder foundation review, marc jacobs beauty brow wow review

Am I dreaming or what? Do you spot the elusive pan? Guerlain as you know is one of my favorite luxury brands and this powder foundation (Lingerie de Peau Compact) is another staple in my day-to-day makeup routine. I love its mattifying and blurring effect. Got oily skin and obvious pores like me? this is worth every penny lady! Marc Jacobs Beauty Brow Wow Defining Longwear Eyebrow Pencil is kind of a bummer. While I like how natural my brow looks using this pencil, I can’t for the life of me believe that it’s gone after 10 or so uses. The retractable mechanism is all for a show because the entire product turned out to be really small in comparison to Hourglass or even Tom Ford.

It’s your turn. Did you finish anything recently?

I've gotta look and see if I got the Murad Advanced Radiance Serum in my box of samples. You did a great job finishing things up this month!

Excellent job, and it's so impressive that you hit the pan! I love Arcona, and their Triad Pads are AMAZING, twinsy!

  3. October 30, 2015 / 10:03 pm

I can't believe that's pan I see! I have big pores so I may need to check this out. Hopefully they have something for my paleness lol

  4. October 30, 2015 / 10:15 pm

It is so hard for me to hit pan on anything these days. When I do, I feel like I've accomplished something.

  5. October 31, 2015 / 1:22 am

Good for you using up stuff. I never seem to get to the end of anything.

  6. October 31, 2015 / 3:05 am

You really did use up a lot which is amazing to me. It's a shame about the MJ though since it's certainly not cheap.

  7. October 31, 2015 / 10:53 am

Well done on finishing up two makeup products. Bummer that the Marc Jacobs brow pencil was over too soon. Appearances are certainly deceptive in this case.

  8. October 31, 2015 / 6:16 pm

SOO I need to try that Guerlain powder if you say its that good!

  9. October 31, 2015 / 9:16 pm

Say whaaat? You actually hit pan on makeup? I couldn't be more proud! 🙂

  10. October 31, 2015 / 11:07 pm

I'm so bad with empties, I hate clutter and toss em immediately!

  11. October 31, 2015 / 11:11 pm

I don't even know how many of those Evian facial sprays I've gone through!

  12. November 1, 2015 / 1:01 am

I've finished up a bunch of mini's and hit pan on a pressed foundation, but nowhere near as impressive as your collection.

  13. November 2, 2015 / 12:19 am

You finished so many products in October! Impressive!

  14. November 2, 2015 / 3:52 am

That Murad Anti-acne cleanser sounds pretty great! I love acne products that are also anti-aging because now I need both!
