The circle of life: enabler being enabled. Upon the recommendation of professional MUA and fellow beauty blogger Norah (Norah Loves Makeup), I picked up two palettes from cult brand Viseart. They have been on my wish list for several months so finally I bit the bullet, much to my delight. Today let’s focus on Matte Eyeshadow Palette ($80, 24g 0.84 oz, Sephora), featuring a bevy of neutrals that can take you from day to night, subtle to smoky, and anything in between.
As you can see from the photo, this palette has 12 shades ranging from neutrals to earth tones (cool and warm) with jet black and gray to complete its functionality and versatility. There is no mirror (no biggie) but the palette itself has heft and is sturdy enough for travel. I understand the logic behind the clear case; if you’re a busy MUA, you want to see what’s in it, no fuss all glory.
With the exception of one shade that’s really powdery (top row, second from left), the rest are soft, pigmented and blend very well. Worn over eye primer, wear time is practically whole day without creasing, a definite feat during summer heat! The shades are nameless but you can tell from the swatch which is which. The browns pack a punch while black and gray are superb.
For my eye makeup below, I used dark brown for my eyebrows and lower lash line, gray for crease, mauvey-gray for transition and black on outer eye corner all from Viseart Matte Eyeshadow Palette. Lipstick is Tom Ford Pink Dusk, Foundation is Givenchy Brume Bonne Mine (review here), Highlighter is Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Powder Duo Moodlight (I used the darker shade, review here).
have you tried anything from Viseart?
