VISEART MATTE EYESHADOW PALETTE, REVIEW, SWATCH, BEST NEUTRAL EYESHADOW

aaffiliate

The circle of life: enabler being enabled. Upon the recommendation of professional MUA and fellow beauty blogger Norah (Norah Loves Makeup), I picked up two palettes from cult brand Viseart. They have been on my wish list for several months so finally I bit the bullet, much to my delight. Today let’s focus on Matte Eyeshadow Palette ($80, 24g 0.84 oz, Sephora), featuring a bevy of neutrals that can take you from day to night, subtle to smoky, and anything in between.

VISEART MATTE EYESHADOW PALETTE, REVIEW, SWATCH, BEST NEUTRAL EYESHADOW PALETTE

As you can see from the photo, this palette has 12 shades ranging from neutrals to earth tones (cool and warm) with jet black and gray to complete its functionality and versatility. There is no mirror (no biggie) but the palette itself has heft and is sturdy enough for travel. I understand the logic behind the clear case; if you’re a busy MUA, you want to see what’s in it, no fuss all glory.

With the exception of one shade that’s really powdery (top row, second from left), the rest are soft, pigmented and blend very well. Worn over eye primer, wear time is practically whole day without creasing, a definite feat during summer heat! The shades are nameless but you can tell from the swatch which is which. The browns pack a punch while black and gray are superb.

For my eye makeup below, I used dark brown for my eyebrows and lower lash line, gray for crease, mauvey-gray for transition and black on outer eye corner all from Viseart Matte Eyeshadow Palette. Lipstick is Tom Ford Pink Dusk, Foundation is Givenchy Brume Bonne Mine (review here), Highlighter is Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Powder Duo Moodlight (I used the darker shade, review here).

That matte palette looks gorgeous. US $80 for a palette, though! Here I was thinking I shelled out a lot for my new Naked palette (AU $78)…

Haha, I can relate. I think you'll like this palette if you're into mattes

I've been back and forth about this palette since I don't wear matte that often. The discontinued palette I have though does have a good number of mattes mixed in. I love the lip color on you. I'm so used to you with a darker lip and this is a beautiful change of pace that works well with the palette.

Thanks Marcia. I think you should be fine w/ the mattes you have esp if the colors are similar

I haven't tried Viseart but have been on the fence for a while – possibly because I'm "neutralled-out", palette-wise right now. If you had to choose between By Terry and Viseart, which would you pick? I adore the eye look you've done here.

Grey looks great on you! I have had these palettes on my Sephora wish list for such a long time…I just can't bring myself to spend the $80. Maybe Santa will be good to me and bring me one (or three haha)

I would def pick it up if I wore mattes more often.

Awwww, I love that you love Viseart. But wait, they are coming out with a pearl version of this, I cant wait. When you want to play, mix it up with your cream shadows and you will love it even more. Thank you so much for the shot-out!
