Now that Oahu (Hawaii) has completely banned plastic bags, I am compelled to shop more at Target. Why? because we get discount for every bag (or recyclable plastic) we bring each time. Sure it won’t buy me cart-full of groceries but it’s a great way of incentivizing consumers to think and act green.

Speaking of Target, you know a trip there isn’t complete without browsing the beauty aisle. Well bellas, it has become even more legit because Pixi recently launched exciting products, much to our felicity!

Formerly online-exclusive, I am thrilled to see this cult favorite Glow Tonic at Target in smaller and affordable 100 ml bottle ($15). It’s alcohol-free toner that exfoliates and brightens skin. I love how it makes my face feels smooth. Bonus point? it has an inviting earthy-floral aroma!

Available in eleven shades, MatteLustre lipstick collection ($12 each) is a hybrid between matte and luminous. It has the sensational opacity known to mattes and hydration akin to balms. Plum Berry is true berry and very appropriate for Fall/Winter while Pure Fuchsia is hot pink if you’re feeling bold or otherwise. I find both shades easy to apply with comfortable five-hour wear time. And because I like these, you bet I am picking up few more colors!

Pixi also launched eye makeups, I have Cat Eye Ink ($14) and Endless Brow Gel Pen ($11). Preference for liquid eyeliner is relative, I like mine soft with pointed felt tip as it’s easier to maneuver based on my acquired makeup skills. With that said, this eyeliner didn’t cut it for me. The slanted tip (read: thick and hard) was difficult for me to do cat eyes. Also, it was no match to our extreme humidity here because it smudged after two hours. But it’s just me and my oily lids so your experience maybe different. The brow gel pen is smooth, creamy, and very easy to use. I’m all for natural-looking brows so this one definitely does the job (I’m wearing Medium shade as photographed above).
