Fall is almost upon us, my favorite season! As the humid weather winds down, I’m all for ditching summer’s messy bun and going sleek-glam. For today’s post, I’m sharing a very easy hair tutorial using select CHI products (separate reviews soon).
As a backgrounder, CHI hair care products are popular because they are made from high quality ingredients at decent price. Used in many salons and sold at major retailers nationwide, this brand has become a household name to women old and young. I own a few even before this opportunity came. Now can we stop for a sec and admire this hairstyling iron in full bloom? I’m bursting with excitement!

On to the tutorial….
STEP 1 | Whether you’re dealing with second-day hair or not, it’s best to condition your hair first to make styling easy peasy. CHI has dry conditioner and dry shampoo which are both excellent for detangling and making hair uber manageable and looking fresh. They don’t have migraine-inducing fragrance which is a big plus for my ever picky olfactory cells.
STEP 2 | Brush or comb hair for smoother hairstyling. Try to do it by sections so you don’t stress or pull the strands. Split ends, no bueno.
STEP 3 | Use Ultra CHI Hairstyling Iron to straighten hair (do it by sections if you have long hair like me). I like that it heats up fast and just right; you can see that it does make my hair look really soft and shiny!
STEP 4 | Use CHI Reworkable Taffy to flatten top or crown hair. While it’s sticky, it doesn’t leave greasy residues or make my hair look stiff and icky.
STEP 5 | Do a high ponytail. The closer to crown, the better. Get inspired: think J Lo or Kim K!
STEP 6 | Grab a small chunk of hair and wrap it around ponytail then secure with bobby pins.
Ladies and gals, here’s the finished look: #CHIFallSleek
Many mahalo’s to CHI and The Beauty Council for this amazing collaboration!
