Who doesn’t love a good facial mask? I’m a sucker for such! So much so that I dedicate 3-4 times a week nourishing my maturing skin with all kinds of mask within my reach. My latest indulgence? Strivectin Instant Revitalizing Mask. Made with natural alpha-hydroxy-acids to help boost cell renewal and promote youthful glow, this product easily earned stellar status from moi.

Without repeating the obvious but yes, it is a white mask with clay-like texture. Normally I have qualms whenever I see or read “instant”, be it in packaging, marketing claim or promotional material. Having tried a gamut of skincare products, my eyes roll when  a company promise heaven with purgatory caliber (or worse, hell). So for me to say that this mask did give me instant result is no exaggeration at all. Just so you know, here’s how my DIY facial goes: remove makeup, wash face thoroughly with Foreo Luna (paired with cleanser), rinse and pat dry, apply mask, nap or tinker with phone for 20 mins, rinse, apply serum and moisturizer. Immediately after rinsing this mask, my face really looked brighter, more relaxed and smoother!

I was also given the opportunity to try Strivectin SD Advanced Intensive Concentrate which claims to   transform skin in 15 days. Youthful skin, who doesn’t want that? While I’ve read good reviews about this product, I had to stop using it on my second attempt. Why? my face got itchy and red the first time I used it so I had to wash it off right away. I tried it again the week after and developed the same symptoms so I am convinced there is incompatibility with the ingredients. While it also claims to reduce or lighten stretch marks, I chose not to use it as such because I’m done with two non-favorable experiences. Hence my skincare mantra resonates, what works for others may not for me and vice-versa.

Great review! I think I would really enjoy the clay mask, since my skin is on the oilier side.

That's so interesting. My Instant Revitalizing Mask comes out of the tube white but goes on completely clear. I'm really enjoying this mask. What a drag that you had such a bad reaction to the concentrate. 🙁

I have this mask in the bullpen. I'm currently testing a Lush glycolic mask. This one is next. I can't wait to try it. I love the Intensive Concentrate.

I haven't had many skincare related mishaps, but I reacted negatively to a Strivectin product as well (although, I can't remember which one.) The mask sounds pretty great though.

I loved the Intensive Concentrate, but didn't get the chance to try the mask. I've loved all the Strivectin I've tried so far, though.

I've heard good things about Strivectin! Need to try it out sometime
