I love discovering new makeup line, more so when it exceeds my expectations. What started out as puppy love (check out the best eye makeup remover no one is really talking about) has progressed to grown-up adulation; Osmosis where have you been all my makeup life?
Known for its skincare line and consequentially discovered at my eye doctor’s clinic (I know, of all places ha?), I was initially clueless that Osmosis has full makeup line, and high quality at that madam!
Let’s start with Osmosis Colour Matte Collection ($53), a palette featuring six neutral shades with moderate yet buildable pigmentation. Perfect for daily wear, they all blend beautifully and stay on the lid and crease practically all day (over primer). The eyeshadows are bigger than standard and I do appreciate the huge mirror inside; I just wish it came in a sturdier case so it will be more travel-friendly. But overall it’s a newfound favorite which I don’t mind purchasing down the line.
Next comes my kryptonite, lippies! Creamy, semi-matte and superbly pigmented, Lasting Lip Colour ($19.80) lived up to its name in all of eight hours I was wearing it! Yep, with eating and sipping water in between. Vintage is brick red-brown which compliments my medium skin tone so nicely. The skinny case fits my pocket for that lightning-speed touch up! Aura is shimmery neutral lip gloss ($17) with delectable candy fragrance. Whether you’re #teamlipstick or #teamgloss , I am more than certain that you will fall in love with these bellas! I did.
Both swatches are one swipe, Vintage knocks me off my feet! Seriously pigmented….
For my makeup below, I used both the Matte Collection palette and Long Lasting Lipstick Vintage. I’m feeling semi-smoky, rawrrr!
Hopefully one day, Osmosis will hit mainstream because this brand has so much to offer. For now, you can find their products at Dermstore, select salon and spa, and maybe your doctor’s office too!
