Another week, another jewel-toned look. Well thanks to my new “eyes”, I mean new contacts. Having worn pure hazel for eons, ‘thought I’d switch up the color for a change. I chose amethyst which turned out to be not as dramatic, thankfully!
Amethyst is a violet variety which I absolutely adore. For today’s post, I used several violets and hot pink (yes) from my stash. I started by layering Chanel Illusion D’Ombre Diapason over eye primer. I used flat eye shadow brush and carefully applied it all over my lids and along my lower lash line. With another flat eye shadow brush, I applied NARS Dual Intensity Eyeshadow Subra wet over Diapason. For transition and dimension, I applied hot pink (black|up cosmetics PAL02) using angled shading brush, then blended it with Subra using a tapered crease brush.
For my inner eye corner, I applied NARS Dual Intensity Eyeshadow Cassiopeia wet to create a holo-ish pink effect. Then on my waterline, I applied and smudged Kat Von D Autograph Pencil Homie, then finished with demi cat eyes using Kat Von D Tattoo Liner Trooper.
I kept the rest of my makeup simple and breathable (summer please go now!): By Terry Cellularose Moisturizing CC Cream, Osmosis Age Defying Treatment Concealer (review soon), Guerlain Meteorites Rainbow Pearls, and Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer Radiant Bronze Light.
