Less coverage but with killa pout. In the thick of summer, my everyday makeup is pretty much what I just stated. Simple but not so. CC cream, bronzer, barely-there eyeshadow and matte bright lips.
So let’s talk about a recent discovery in the realm of CC or color-correcting cream, Osmosis + Colour CC Cream Color Correcting Foundation ($38, 50ml). Available in 4 shades (Ivory/Warm/Neutral/Mocha), I received neutral, a tad lighter than my medium and recently-tanned skin tone.
Housed in a plastic tube with pump dispenser, this CC Cream claims to illuminate, soften and lift complexion. It also offers natural UV protection (Titanium Dioxide), rich source of antioxidants (Japanese Pepper), and natural anti-bacterial, potent anti-microbial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory benefits (lichen extract). While I can’t vouch for its “medicinal aspect” and “anti-aging property”, I must say that I like its creamy consistency, light to medium coverage, and satiny-finish. I find that the best way to apply this is to use a buffing foundation brush. Sans primer, wear time is about six hours, no oxidization but with obvious grease breakthrough on the fourth hour, in the midst of Hawaiian summer, heatwave and all. Now I feel like a weather girl reporting to you live, haha!
Similar to some CC creams I have tried in the past, it comes out as off-white and then adjusts to skin tone once blended and buffed.
A quick before and after for your reference. Before is au naturel, after is Osmosis + Colour CC cream, 2 pea-sized pumps.
…here’s the super-final rendition. Concealer on under-eyes set with powder, bronzer using 3-trick and red matte lips.
Have you tried anything from Osmosis? what’s your go-to CC cream?
It does look like it brightens your complexion!
That sheer coverage is perfect for complexions that are already in good shape! I love how nice it looks on your skin 🙂
I like the look of this CC cream a lot! Great quick summer face. I've been testing out Mirabella's cc cream for a few days and I really like it. My usual go-to is IT Cosmetics.
I've heard about Osmosis but haven't tried anything yet. Although a tad light, it does look great on you. I think I need a bit more coverage.
You have a healthy glow, it looks great! I am just starting Osmosis Skincare!
This gives you such lovely coverage and a beautiful healthy glow!
This seems like a really nice CC cream for those days you want just a bit "extra" while running errands. 🙂
Never tried this brand, but your skin looks really even.
Wow, the finish is so natural! This sounds like it would be great in the Florida heat!
It seems light at first, but with the finished face, it gives you a nice brightness. I like it! And that pout is so killa! My lipstick collection wants to be like yours when it grows up.
I'm always interested in products like this but I worry that I won't find a light enough shade. This doesn't look like heavy coverage but it does look like it's nicely brightening.
I love CC creams like this– I find that they color match better 🙂
I've been reaching for BB/CC creams a lot this summer! So much lighter on the skin in this heat. Loooove the red lip.
The coverage looks perfect. I've been reaching for BB/CC creams and you can't be them for warm, humid days.
You know I love a natural finish and this is a total win on your fab skin!
I'm so jealous of your naturally gorgeous skin!
have not tried this brand. But it sure looks fabulous on you! My fave is the IT Cosmetics CC+. Love that stuff.
I love how well it evened out your skin tone! You look gorgeous, as usual!
Your skin is just gorgeous! This just adds a little brightness to your complexion, which is always welcome in the Summertime! <3 Beautiful, as always! 🙂
