nail butter, review, how to take care of nails, hangnails cure

TLC. Tender Loving Cuticles. Not. While I try my best to keep my nails in tip top shape, I am quick to admit that I don’t possess enviable model-esque hands vis-a-vis nails. The likes of Lisa from Cosmetic Santuary and Jessica from Be Happy and Buy Polish embarrass my toddler-sized nails and stumpy fingers big time. So unsexy.

But better late than never. I had the opportunity to try Nail Butter, a nail treatment with soft as-butter consistency in lemongrass fragrance. Cruelty-free and made with natural ingredients (wool wax, beeswax, sodium borate, acetyl alcohol, oil of mustard, aloe vera extract, grape seed oil, gardenia oil), my nails are looking healthier each day that I apply it. Still not a celebrated nail blogger level but decent enough to make me feel good about my nails. The scent is quite overwhelming; it’s predominantly citrus which you may or may not appreciate. Personally, I like lemongrass because it’s invigorating.

More than a nail treatment. I wash and sanitize my hands bajillion times because I work with patients every single day. While this habit helped me a lot in preventing germs transmission, the major downside is overly dry hands. Nail Butter offers TLH. Tender Loving Hands. After applying over my nails, I extend it to my hands and massage thoroughly for better distribution and absorption. Yes it’s greasy but it subsides after ten minutes or so.
