The past few days have been humid, so much so that I am starting to loathe everything summer has to offer. It’s no joke getting sick (and rushed to ER once for heat exhaustion) I tell ‘ya. On a brighter note, it’s the umpteenth time to rock bold hues like nobody’s biz. Now that’s certainly music to my ear.
Shine out loud says butterLondon. Shine and stand out echoes zilla. Whatever manner you choose, own the stage and strut with unapologetic confidence.
Let’s start with le lips. Aptly named Lippy Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayon, Ladybird is red orange with enviable pigmentation and glossy finish. It has commendable full five-hour wear time. It’s quite hydrating but feels waxy on application. It comes with a built-in sharpener, you just have to remember which cap to use to cover the tip, otherwise you’d be frustrated as I was when I accidentally smashed the crayon. Brain fart, it’s not a myth, haha!
If you’re not into loud puckers, why not paint your nails bright red orange. Also called Ladybird, this nail polish is opaque in one pass minus unsightly streaks. I’m not a nail blogger, I suck at nail art, I can’t even paint my right nails with precision. Regardless, I am proud to show you my summer vibrant nails!
Makeup is all about balance and harmony. With bright lips and tips, neutral eye makeup is the most obvious choice for moi. Usually, it’s just mascara and tight-line, just like this uniquely-shaped mascara called Iconoclast Mega Volume Lacquer (Ulta exclusive). Domed body and ball tip? let me tell you more about this sorcery!
The rounded tip makes it easy to coat inner lashes, at least based from my experience. This mascara also gave my lashes some drama but what I appreciated mostly was the “magical power” it rendered my lifeless lashes, “thou shall not droop, smudge or melt unto zilla even on the tenth hour. *pats wand on lashes*
The Wink Eye Pencil Crayon is creamy-soft and easy to use, no tugging of sorts. Unfortunately it did budge and while it didn’t majorly stain my under eyes, it melted nonetheless.
Have you tried butterLondon’s makeup line?
