Warm, sensual and mod. From the thematic white and gold packaging to ethereal sun-smooched complexion to smoldering eyes, Tom Ford Summer 2015 Soleil collection is beyond captivating! I initially picked up two items, both pre-ordered, when I first spotted them at Neiman Marcus. Now I seriously want more. Let the eye feast begin…
I am a huge bronzer lover in case you don’t know yet. While I like the overall warmth it imparts, it’s quite a challenge to find a product that won’t make your face look muddy; application is another thing, too much of it is never a pleasing sight, tanorexic no-no! There are two shades in the limited summer collection, Terra (matte) and Gold Dust (subtle sheen with micro-gold flecks), both available in 0.29 oz at $65 and 0.75 oz at $95. I settled with the smaller Gold Dust and I couldn’t be happier! It’s handy, fits my palm just right, and great for travel! Chic for this chick!
On swatch, Gold Dust seems to be a close match to Hourglass Ambient Radiant Light Bronzer but on my face, it’s sheerer but definitely buildable. You can check out the reviews of my other favorite bronzers I swatched below: Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow, Givenchy Terre Exotique, Guerlain Powder Duo Natural Blondes (Summer 2015 release).
A blind purchase which turned out to be stellar after all, Cream and Powder Eye Color Naked Bronze is the next best thing to grace my growing eyeshadow stash. Yes it’s a splurge at $60 but its superior quality did justify my purchase; excuses, excuses but really, application vis-a-vis blending is a breeze whether you use flat eyeshadow brush or fingertip. The gold eyeshadow when applied on top of the cream instantly elevates the whole “eyeball” game. OhMyZilla, believe me this duo is utterly fabulous!
Worn over an eye primer, longevity is remarkable! I had no creasing issues the entire eleven hours I had it on.
How are you preppin’ for summer? what makeup collection are you excited about?
