And so my foray into the world of faux tanner was again revived with another interesting discovery from tanning expert Vita Liberata, the Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask. Repetition eliminates confusion so if three tan words ain’t enough, let’s make it four. This product claims to build tan gradually which favors Sue Slowlybutsurely but not so much Jaz Megafast. Let me explain.
Sue Slowlybutsurely wants everything inconspicuous, she’s the type who stays under the radar, ‘kinda like you know she did something different but couldn’t really tell godknowswhat. Jaz Megafast is the extreme opposite; she wants everything done pronto, ‘kinda like bam in your face or go home. For a week, I played Sue as I patiently wait for warmth to grace my otherwise medium (but dull) complexion. It took me three days to actually notice a difference, probably faster if you are fair-skinned. Pro: you can control tanning intensity. Con: impatience may not be your virtue.
This cruelty-free and vegan self-tanner comes in a squeeze-type tube with creamy consistency. It doesn’t have that signature tanning scent which is a plus! In addition, it also performs as a moisturizer which you can use in conjunction with your existing skincare. It lists sunflower seeds (rich in vitamins A,C,D), shea butter, aloe vera, and tocopherol as key ingredients. It’s a little sticky but not greasy and it gets absorbed onto the skin fairly fast. So what happens when you stop using this, asked Jaz Megafast. To which Sue Slowlybutsurely wittingly responded, tan is gone of course.
Must-try if your are TeamSue, oh yeah that’s moi.
Have you tried anything from Vita Liberata?
Any self tanner without a scent has a leg up with me!
Wow! This sounds like great stuff. I'm not much into self tanners, but this one had more of a benefit!
When I read mask in this product name I automatically thought it was for the face? Or is it for the body? Good to hear it doesn't have that stink that self tanners have, that makes this appealing for sure
Who knew they made a self tanner that is scent free.
The ingredients sound great!
I love this I just started using it almost 2 weeks ago but no breakouts or issues 🙂
If I were a self-tanner user, I'd be going for this one
My friend loves this brand. I don't self tan (or tan at all) but it's a brand I've told people about.
I have this and am about to fire it up and see how it goes. Being pale, I'm hoping for tan, not orange.
Self tanner that doesn't have that specific scent? Yes please! I have to try it!
I definitely need to try this, and their new self tanning powder!
I heard so many great things about this brand! While I don't tan or fake-tan, I'm still eyeing their bronzer – the one that comes with a cute brush.
I can't stand that tanning scent! Good to know this doesn't have it!
I'm toying with the idea of trying out a self tanning lotion… At least to kick off summer 🙂
Vita Liberata makes amazing products!
Wow! This product sounds awesome!
I've been using this a couple nights a week along with my Vita Liberata Gradual Tan Lotion so that my face matches my body, haha. I love it!
Slow tan is more natural looking, I think. Glad it doesn't have a scent!
I'm not much of a tanner, but this certainly sounds interesting.
I'm way too much of a (very pale) to try any sort of self tanning. If I wasn't so afraid, I won't blind as many people when I wear shorts 😉
