Pop, cheery and summery! How can you not be enamored by this Pacifica Beauty eye shadow palette? Aptly named Power of Love ($19.99, Target), it’s beaming with whole lotta lovin from dazilla. Predominantly neutral with a drop of teal and ounce of blue, this vegan and cruelty-free palette has ten shades, all sheen and moderately pigmented. You know, just the perfect everyday makeup for the girl next door, Us!
I have reviewed a bevy of Pacifica makeups, proof that I am a fan of this brand from way back (check out Alight BB Cream, Makeup/Deodorant wipes, Enlightened Gloss, Mystical Supernatural Eyeshadow, Enlighten Eyeshadow, among others). In fact each and every time I go to Target, I always inspect the makeup aisle, particularly Pacifica (and Sonia Kashuk). It’s like a huge candy treat minus the notorious cavities and calories.
Worn over an eye primer, these eyeshadows have commendable seven-hour wear with minimal fading (‘yo mama got oily lids, ugh!). Applied wet, teal, blue and army green appear more vibrant. The rest have impeccable finish, most especially taupe-brown (beside blue), my ultra-favorite from this palette.
If you love coconut-scented products like I do, your olfactory nerves are in for a treat with Coco Pure Makeup Removing Wipes. Think tropical, think Hawaii. Plus, don’t you love the matchy-matchy design of the palette and wipes?
Finally, here’s a simple eye makeup for dazilla-next-door. I can’t decide which shade to use for the subtle flick so I mixed blue and teal together. I think it came out decent, despite the usual morning rush.
Let’s do a quick self-portrait and I’m out…
