Some of the notable beauty trends for Spring include glowing skin, bright lips and brown eye makeup. While it’s easy for you ladies with normal and flawless skin to rock the proverbial glow, I observe extra precaution because I don’t want to accentuate le pores. But bright lips and neutral eyes? pretty much my everyday jam zilla!
Today I’m sharing my Spring go-to look featuring gloMinerals, a brand known for its unique mineral makeup system which is devoid of talc and comedogenic ingredients. The makeup line also utilizes antioxidants such as Vitamins A, C and E including green tea extract. I will be doing separate reviews in the next days or so but for now, let’s say hi to these bellas!
gloMinerals Shimmer Duo (Candle) features stunning highlighters that render subtle illumination, kinda like youthful glow for this old mama. I use the darker shade on the side of my face, the lighter one for brow arch and/or cupid’s bow.
gloMinerals Blush (Papaya) is a beautiful high-pigment peachy pink cheek color. It’s a great shade for Spring and Summer.
Love at first sight, these eyeshadows apply and blend effortlessly. Applied over an eye primer, they are virtually crease-free the whole day! Sand Pebble is sheen bronze brown; Orchid is sheen brown; Haze is matte light brown; Twig is matte chocolate brown. .
You know I am a huge matte lippy lover (and a snob at that); I have tried a gamut so when I say that this lip crayon easily earned stellar status, believe me like our umbilical cords were connected at birth. But seriously, I love its creamy formula, powerhouse pigment, and minty feel sans the sting factor. Did you spot the built-in sharpener? cherry on top for sure. Sorbet is purple pink, my kind of shade year-round.
The most important step in achieving Spring’s glowing skin is to start with a clean canvass. With that said, wash face, exfoliate (or apply mask), tone and moisturize as you normally would. Skip heavy foundations and opt for BB or CC creams or even tinted moisturizers. Allowing your skin to breathe is the way to go.
{1} For my eye makeup, I started by applying and blending Twig on my crease
{2} With flat eye shadow brush, I applied Sand Pebble on my eyelid
{3} I smudged Orchid on my lower lash line
{4} I used Haze for transition color from crease to brow bone
{5} I lined my upper lash line with black eyeliner
{6} Curled and applied mascara on lashes
{7} I applied Candle (darker shimmer) on the side of
my face and nose bridge
{8} Finally swiped Sorbet on my lips
