It’s finally April, new month, new beginnings! But first, look who conquered the odds of finishing products down to the last drop? It may sound trivial to some but if you’re a hoarder, more so a blogger, then you know #thestruggleisreal

I dyed my hair caramel blonde back in December (I’m due for touchups soon) so I am very vigilant when it comes to color preservation. This Brightening Blonde shampoo and conditioner combo from Alterna Caviar line did a great job! While I don’t buy the anti-aging proposition (hello gray hairs), I like the fact that they’re free from sulfates, parabens, gluten, and phthalates. Plus they smell so good! Final verdict? I will repurchase.

Exfoliation is second nature to me because aside from the obvious (it sloughs off dead skin cells), it brings bathing to a whole new level. ‘Kinda like my me-time especially after a long tiring day at work. I love The Body Shop but I’m not a fan of Spa Wisdom Afrique scrub primarily because of its rancid smell. Possibly bad batch? Could be but I’m not buying it again. Dead Sea Essentials Comforting Vanilla Sugar-Salt Spa Scrub by Ahava was a spur-of-the-moment purchase at Target. I love the scent but it’s way too gentle to my liking. My kind of exfoliant is to feel some “scrub”, just enough to convince me that it worked. To each her own but this zilla ain’t repurchasing.

I like body oil more than lotion, butter or cream because it gives me better hydration. Ahava Dry Oil Body Mist is pretty lightweight with enticing aroma. It works best during spring or summer but didn’t do well the past winter. I may repurchase, let’s see. The Body Shop Shea Shower Cream is one of my favorites from the brand, it smells really good so a repurchase is inevitable. Girl’s Gotta Spa Energizing Citrus is a nice body wash if you’re into indie brands. I am not repurchasing because I have loads of body wash waiting to be consumed.

It’s your turn. What did you finish up lately?
