St. Patrick’s Day is next week Tuesday, 3/17. If you’re looking for beauty inspirations from makeup to mani, my fellow bloggers and I got you covered today! I chose to do wearable jewel-tone green smokey eyes and went some kinda glitzy with my nails, take a look!
I’m a great fan of subtle and well-blended smokey eye makeup because even if you integrate some pop of color here and there, it remains wearable at daytime. For this look, I used Givenchy Ombre Couture Kaki Brocart as base, then layered with Evergreen from Too Faced A Few Of My Favorite Things palette. For transitional color on the crease, I used matte brown and beige also from the same Too Faced palette. For my lower lash-line, I used Clinique Cream Shaper For Eyes (olive green) then smudged with Evergreen for softer effect. I applied two coats of Clinique Lash Power mascara to complete my eye makeup.
#iwokeuplikedis, my hair that is! I washed my hair the night before, fell asleep with it damp and literally woke up with side waves and vavava-volume. I guess it’s one of those days, hair behaving nicely!
Quite predictably, I opted for nude puckers to compliment my jewel-tone peepers. I line and filled in my lips with Marc Jacobs (P)Outliner Longwear Lip Pencil Nude(ist) and swiped Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel Understudy on top.
Here’s a snapshot of all the makeups I used for today’s look:

Finally let’s go to my festive tweed mani. I rarely do mani posts because it’s not my mojo. My nails are cut super short and in most days, they are not painted. Low maintenance so to speak. It’s for a reason: my degree of handwashing and sanitizing is through the roof (I deal with patients every single day just so you know). With that said, it’s a waste of time to paint my nails the night before, only to chip the day after. Case in point is Ciate Tweed. Paint today, gone in a few hours.
How adorable is this teeny weeny bottle with teeny weeny brush that matches my teeny weeny nails? tweed tweed indeed!
What’s your favorite way to wear green?
