Spring has sprung and Giorgio Armani Beauty fanatics sung! Inspired by vibrant Indian embroideries, the Maharajah collection rekindled my fascination with all things fuchsia.
Before dark berry, fuchsia dominated my lipstick vocab. Hard to spell to most so we’ll call it hot pink. A limited edition for Spring, Rouge d’Armani Maharajah is the star of the entire collection. It’s incontestably hot pink with blue undertone. With high-voltage pigmentation and impressive wear time, it did revive my fondness for this almost-forgotten shade. This lippy is semi-creamy with velvety matte texture. Effortlessly stunning, in love I am!
But see I can’t retire berry yet no matter how much I try. Good thing there is Garcone from the Rouge Ecstasy collection (the other two shades are Pink Blush and Maharajah). It’s luminous magenta with covetable hydration. From utterly sweet to vampy, don’t mess with da zilla.
Consistent with Giorgio Armani lipsticks, these beauties are housed in fashion-forward tubes with fool-proof magnetic closure. It’s one feature I do appreciate because I loathe accidental uncapping of lipsticks inside my purse, stains ain’t joke!
Here are swatches in comparison to some lipsticks I unearthed from the trove. Maharajah is quite similar to YSL Fuchsia in Excess (reviewed here) but the latter has more shiny finish. Garcone is a tad subtle compared to Marc Jacobs Magenta (reviewed here) and Cabaret (reviewed here).
Bright lips are on trend this season, dare to wear one!
