BB (beauty balm or blemish balm) Cream is probably the most hyped beauty product in recent years. A hybrid between skincare and makeup, it hydrates, primes, and rejuvenates skin while offering sun protection altogether. However, what makes it quite frustrating to the general public is the limited color range offered by every brand, every company. Too light, too dark, too yellow, too pink, tell me if you can relate. Quick solution? DIY!
Use what you already own: a foundation that perfectly match your skin tone (ideally with built-in SPF), your favorite serum and moisturizer. Eyeball your concoction: more serum and moisturizer means sheerer finish. I usually pump pea-sized amount each and mix everything with a q-tip, as shown below. Easy peasy, fine and fancy!
For this DIY, I used my go-to foundation, Guerlain Terracota Joli Teint, Paula’s Choice Resist Ultra-Light Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum and Resist Anti-aging Clear Skin Hydrator, both reviewed here.
Here’s moi this morning, I’m wearing my DIY BB Cream!

Great idea and beautiful look, as always!
I haven't tried mixing my own like this. The products your using look great. I'll have to check out the beauty app. I'm always trying new beauty products. Thanks for the tips. Feel free to drip by and share them if you like I have a weekly party. Theresa @DearCreatives
How cool!!! I might have to try this.
I really like your DIY bb cream! Great idea! You look lovely 🙂
Great idea! I´ve never done my own BB cream, but I might give it a try!
Great idea! I've done similar with mineral foundation.
I've never tried making my own, but I will sometimes mix foundations together to get the right color.. never thought of mixing it with moisturizer! It doesn't make your foundation streaky?
great post! I like makeup DIYs 🙂

What an awesome idea! You look gorgeous!
This is a great idea, especially for those that already have the perfect match for foundation
I haven't made a bb cream, but I have made a tinted moisturizer.
Who knew? I'm definitely going to have to try that!
I love this post! I have customized my foundations and tinted moisturizers for years by mixing them and by adding beauty oils and lotions. It's a great way to utilize imperfect shades and formulas too!
Looks great on you!!
