It’s officially Fall! Behold the return of plum a.k.a berry, red wine, burgundy, dark lips. Like red or coral, it’s not that difficult to pull off. And yes, now is the time to wear it like nobody’s business!

My favorite way of wearing plum is to focus on the lips and keep everything understated. Now the question is, would you go matte, glossy, sheen? Regardless of your preference, I suggest to line and fill-in your lips with a lipliner first to avoid feathering. Here are the products I used for today’s post (reviews are linked):

After my morning skincare, I applied Guerlain Joli Teint Foundation in Natural. I reviewed Moyen/Medium here and since I’m no longer tan, I repurchased a lighter shade. It dries to a matte finish so there’s no need for a setting powder.

A must-have but no formal review yet (I suck I know), I used NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Mustard to conceal my disgusting dark under eyes.

To set the concealer, I used BECCA Boudoir Skin Mineral Powder. It’s my second favorite after Hourglass. No review and I don’t even know why… you hate me now?

Still raving about it, I used Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Killer Cheekbones set for subtle contouring and glow.

Still my holy grail when it comes to eyebrow definition, I used Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade in Medium Brown. I reviewed Dark Brown here, there’s not much difference with the shade.

For my eye makeup, I used NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base, MAC Mineralize Pretty and Prim eyeshadow on lids and crease, Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon (Plum)age on upper and lower lash line, Charlotte Tilbury Rock ‘N’ Khol Eye Pencil in Veruscka Mink (review soon) on waterline, and Hourglass Film Noir Mascara.

Finally the whole point of this post, the lips! I lined my lips with MAC Lip Pencil in Soar and applied Marc Jacobs Truth or Dare Lust for Lacquer Lip Vinyl

Have fun my zillas!
