Perlier Shea Butter with White Lily Extract review

:: press sample ::

While dry skin is more prevalent during winter months, my hands in particular know no season. Perennially dry and tough, I have nothing but my obsessive handwashing vis-à-vis sanitizing nature to blame. Given this predicament, I stash hand creams anywhere possible: at the office, bathroom, makeup room, purse, headboard, car, to name a few.

I  had the chance to try another product from Perlier, the Shea Butter Softening Moisturizing Hand Cream with White Lily Extract ($24, 200ml). As most of you probably know, shea butter is a great moisturizer plus more because it also soothes sunburn, relieves itching, tackles psoriasis or dermatitis, etc.

Perlier Shea Butter with White Lily Extract review

The deets. Yes it’s thick. Yes it’s heavily-fragrant. I like that it moisturizes my hands and feet so well that the feeling of roughness is addressed albeit tentatively. The addition of white lily in the ingredients is supposed to grant smoothness to the most sensitive skin. I know scent is personal and relative but this hand cream is reeking with over-the-top floral fragrance which lingers for a while. It maybe trivial to you but not for someone whose migraine is triggered with such strong parfum. With that said, I hope to see a different hand cream from Perlier, preferably less scented or better yet, fragrance-free.
