With so many anti-aging skincare products out there, the battle for having the most unique selling proposition becomes more and more competitive. Let me tell you upfront, my stance on aging has not changed: growing old is inevitable, it’s only a matter of time. But with proper skincare combined with a conscious decision to live a healthy lifestyle, having supple skin is possible way past your prime.

Today I’m sharing an interesting product from Italian brand Perlier called Face Honey Miel Royal Elixir Face Youth Serum ($99, 1.6 fl oz).  Want to know the secret concoction? read further.

Perlier incorporates fresh Royal Jelly from African bees which are known to stimulate collagen production and give vital nutrients and anti-oxidative properties to the skin. Royal jelly, a.k.a bee’s milk is produced by the worker bees to feed their one and only royal highness, Queen Bee. And because Queen Bee is fed with top-of-the-line nutrition, she grows bigger and lives 40 times longer than her dedicated minions. Interestingly, during that lifespan, she will lay thousands of eggs each day.

Apparently a human named Bee was opposing violently…

Still here my beauties? Smile it’s free.

Now going back to the nitty gritty of Perlier Honey Miel, I must say that I like the lightweight feel and consistency of this serum. It’s quite creamy yet gets absorbed onto the skin rather fast. Sometimes I mix this serum with my regular foundation to create my very own tinted moisturizer. Yeah I do it in days I don’t need much coverage. Another unique aspect of this serum is the micro- shimmer that’s barely noticeable to the naked eye. You know it’s there but people in general will think you are glowing from within. If I can tweak the ingredients of this serum, I would like it to be more on the natural side and get rid of unnecessary fillers. I’m sure Queen Bee the bee and Queen Bee the human will like it that way. Honest opinion from a minion.

I am seriously in love with this serum. It has kept my skin so hydrated in additional to my regular skincare regimen. I am loving it. ๐Ÿ™‚ I love the micro shimmer… it's not completely noticeable – but I love that I can still see it and I feel like I'm sparkling ๐Ÿ˜‰ but not overdoing it. lol

I love this serum. I use it night and day, and mix it with my dermalogica hyaluronic acid serum. Both together are divine.

I generally like Perlier's products, but I agree that they could do without some not so great ingredients. I haven't tried this yet, but I am interesting trying a Royal Jelly product. Wish it came in a smaller trial size. Loved the review, so funny!

I liked the feel of this serum, but wasn't too crazy about the shimmer. It was almost on the glittery side.

I'm a packaging fuhreak and I love the seal on the outer packaging. Otherwise, interesting product. I am not much of a serum girl though.
