So here’s another case of “I went to Target to buy groceries and checked out with beauty stuff”. Oh well happy wife, happy life. Hub must be in limbo when he snapped these photos of moi. One was obviously “wtf mode”, the other “okay fine take a pic”. To purchase or not, that is the question.

Needless to say, the makeup junkie in me triumphed with two lip glosses from Pacifica, my favorite Target brand after Sonia Kashuk.

In a nutshell, these lip glosses a.k.a Enlightened Gloss are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. They are infused with coconut and antioxidants which hydrate the lips. I picked up Nudist (golden pearl nude) and Ravish (berry gold).

If you’re into nude, sheer or barely-there lippy, Pacifica Enlightened Gloss won’t disappoint. It’s moisturizing but slightly tacky. The shimmer component illuminates (obviously) your lips, making them look plump without the dreaded sting. Some of you know that I gravitate towards bright lip colors so it was interesting to break such monotony. While Nudist was true to its description, Ravish was a disappointment due to its lack of pigmentation when worn. But it’s not the end of the world, I can layer it over a lipstick when I want to.
