Happy Aloha Friday!
New here? #FaceFriday is basically Face of the Day reborn with a fancy name m/ It’s when I use and feature almost all the products I have reviewed in the past. This week, let’s revisit my powder makeups (reviews are linked for your reference)…
While I adore the natural and lightweight coverage of powder makeups, I’m a ‘lil annoyed with the messy application. Swirl, tap, buff…. ugh, the OCD in me is protesting.
Alima Pure Satin Matte Foundation (Olive 2)
Alima Pure Luminous Shimmer Blush (Leigh)
Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder (Bronze)
Everyday Minerals Brow Powder (Mrs Coffee) for brows
Alima Luminous Shimmer Eyeshadow on brow arch
BFTE Gold Digger (won from Phyrra’s giveaway)
Other products used:
Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayon (black), NARS smudge-proof eyeshadow base, Tarte mascara, Dior Rouge 555 lipstick
What’s your favorite powder makeup?

I'm with you, those powder makeups are so messy! My fav powder is probably Stila Set & Correct Baked Powder (it's baked, but turns into loose powder from turning the grinder). I actually just ran out of it, but didn't repurchase yet.
Oh I would love to try that Stila baked powder!!!
I love how the blush and your lippie compliment each other so nicely. Happy Friday!
Thanks Nidia. Enjoy your weekend!
I'm a huge fan of Ben Nye powders! I have three, but I use Banana the most! It IS messy, I end up tapping it onto my small mirror and using my brush against my mirror, so I'm constantly keeping my mirror clean, too!
I think I'm the only one left totally clueless with Ben Nye. One day I should try that brand!!!
So pretty! I'm really loving the Laura Mercier Candlelight powder that I've been using for months but I just added to my Makeup Geek collection of loose pigments so I'll count those too!
Many mahalo's! I still have to try Makeup Geek!!!
I agree, powdered products are messy. I used to use the tarte smooth operator finishing powder. Great pick
I have so many powder ones! I can't even think of a favorite!
#womenproblem #firstworldproblem LOL
LOL, yeah, the drawback for me with powder makeup is the time you have to take buffing.
yeah, several buffing and swirling
For foundation and blushes, I like The All Natural Face, and for eyeshadow, BFTE.
great to know you like bfte!
I love the look of powder makeup, but it is messy!
Loving your gorgeous look!
gorgeous look for the spring time!
Love your look!
Beautiful face friday!! gloss48 has a sale on Painted Earth right now, which are pressed minerals set with Argan Oil. #shamelessplug because I just reviewed them and we are giving some away!! lol
Thanks for the heads up. I haven't tried Painted Earth
I don't do any loose powders anymore–too messy and it drives me crazy!
yeah, that's the thing. and I have white vanity/desk to begin with!!!
I love that lipstick!
That lipstick is fantastic!! It's gorgeous on you!
I love your lips. I am not a fan of loose powders… having formulated a few of my own – they are messy to deal with.
Oh yeah, I remember you have your makeup line!!! How's it?
I've used mineral makeup for so long that when I use liquids, I feel I constantly need to wash my hands. I'm OK with it though. (You might think I'm partial…..you're right! ;D )
Yep, you are one in a million partial, lol
My favorite powder is the new UD Naked loose powder!
That's great to know. I haven't tried that one yet, thanks for the heads up
Love the BFTE shadow!!
Oh, these look great!
Beautiful as always!
Your makeup looks great ! I also dislike the messy side effect of mineral makeup but I use it almost daily.
I'm not a super huge powder makeup fan but I am currently enjoying MACs Prep and Prime in Adjust. I also love Urban Decay's Surreal Skin Care Mineral Makeup but it looks like they are discontinuing it. =/
You are so cute, Kath! I love the idea of this post, your photos, and that gorgeous lippie!
Your makeup is gorgeous!
i love everyday minerals and tarte products!
