Tory Burch Lip Color (Scoundrel, Just Like Heaven): Review, Swatch, FOTD

Happy Monday Ladies! In time for Spring, designer Tory Burch released new shades for her eponymous Lip Color collection. While Pas Du Tout (reviewed here) left me less than enthused, my lipstick obsession can’t be curtailed.

Exquisitely stunning in orange and gold, I foresee these tubes becoming a collectible down the line. Even hubzilla who doesn’t comment on my makeup acquisitions had to stop and utter “wow those are nice and unique”.

I couldn’t agree more.

A Nordstrom exclusive ($32, .1 oz/3g), there are twelve shades to choose from; I purchased Scoundrel (bright pink-red) and Just Like Heaven (sheer mauve pink).

What the website says: Tory Burch loves color! Here, the designer offers 12 distinctive shades of rich lip color, each designed to flatter a variety of skin tones. Extending from Tory’s original signature lip color, Pas du Tout, the collection ranges from tomboy neutrals to feminine pinks and bold brights. Subtly scented with notes of cassis, grapefruit and mandarin from the Tory Burch fragrance, this modern formula perfectly balances sheer yet vivid color, rich texture and a weightless finish. Encased in gold-and-orange fretwork, it’s a super-chic accessory in itself.

What my lips say: Tory Burch wowed me this time! These lippies go on smooth and feel uber hydrating and luxurious. They are subtly fragrant which I absolutely adore. Just Like Heaven is sheer mauve-pink, it’s something I would wear when I feel like neutral is more. Scoundrel on the other hand is surprisingly bright; it’s a beautiful pinky-red shade I can wear season after season.

Here’s Just Like Heaven for the simple moi

Packaging is A+ and I would always use a lip brush so as to not ruin the embossment!

I have to say, that embossment is gone on second swipe.
