Few weeks ago, I expressed my love at first buff with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Diffused Heat so in my recent trip to my local candy store a.k.a Sephora, I picked up Mood Exposure, the darkest shade in the collection.
Mood Exposure is described as soft plum but it appears bronzy rose on my medium skin tone. It is moderately-pigmented with barely-there luminous finish.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush has that distinctive marbleized look. It reminds me of Laura Geller albeit finer and silkier in texture. The rosy-copper mirrored packaging, although a magnet for fingerprints (OC zilla), is very chic and modern.
Ingredients: Mica, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Boron Nitride, Hdi/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Octyldodecanol; Benzoic Acid, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Dehydroacetic Acid, Diamond Powder, Dimethicone, Ethylhexylglycerin, Laureth-7, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Phenoxyethanol, Polyacrylamide, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Potassium Sorbate, Silica, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Sorbic Acid, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, May Contain (+/-): Red 7 Lake (Ci 15850), Yellow 5 Lake (Ci 19140), Carmine (Ci 75470), Ultramarines (Ci 77007), Bismuth Oxychloride (Ci 77163), Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499), Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891).
Here’s a side by side comparison with Diffused heat (bright poppy pink).
If you haven’t tried any Hourglass products yet, I say start with the ambient lighting blush and expand your collection. This brand has become my go-to for finishing powder (Diffused Light, Dim Light) and foundation (Immaculate Liquid Powder). And with two blushes that got me swooned, you know I’m staying.
Moi in Mood Exposure.
