My dear sissies-in-law are in town so yesterday we hit the beach. Ironically, I live five minutes away from the beach yet it’s almost a year since I have been there. Talk about work-home-blog. I have to have balance!

Okay seriously, who goes to the beach with mega makeup on? Not moi! I go bare minimum at its finest. I pack light so here are my essentials: sunscreen, tinted lip balm (with spf), killer shades and magazine. Oh, add bottles of water for rehydration!
My go-to sunscreen is from MDSolarSciences, it’s mineral-based and very lightweight. You can find my full review here.
I like multi-tasking products so this tinted lip butter from Rodial is right up my alley. It has SPF 15 and it smells like coconut!
These Michael Kors sunnies are sleek and chic. Of course, I have to have it the moment I laid eyes on ’em.

Your staples for the beach are same as mine – lip balm, sunscreen, sunnies and something to read or listen to 😉 I can't wait that it is finally getting warm out – the boys are so stoked to be hitting the beaches and ponds again. I'm glad you got some time to hit the beach girl… you deserve a little you time. 😉

How can you look that good with just sunscreen and lip balm? It just isn't fair.
haha! See, that's what I'm telling the hub. If you live in a touristy-place, it doesn't mean we play tourist every chance we get. We live in a real world: work-home-work.

I hear ya. 20 mins from 'the world's most famous beach' and I rarely go, too. You know it'll always be there! Glad you got some time to experience that, though – what a great beach!

Can't wait for the beach weather 🙂 I normally wear minimal makeup to the beach: waterproof mascara, tinted moisturizer with SPF and a lipstain (also doubled as blush on the cheeks).
