Hi there blushing buddies! Today I’m sharing my ‘lil blush/bronzer collection from Cargo. Makeup enthusiasts know that this Canadian brand has some of the best makeups around yet they remain under the radar. Why? I think it has something to do with their “now you see, now you don’t” distribution setup. I was disappointed when Ulta and Macy’s ceased carrying it for a while (wait, they’re on board again as of this writing, yay!). Occasionally, they pop in at HauteLook so be on the lookout for steep discounts! Ready to sneak-a-peek?

I lurve lurve the packaging! Housed and protected in tin cans, these blushes are travel-friendly! Sold in nine shades, I own three at the moment: The Big Easy (sheer pink with gold undertone), Mendocino (dark pink with gold sheen), and Catalina (matte cotton candy pink). The one and only bronzer in my stash is matte medium.

These blushes and bronzer have superb color payoff. Mendocino is very pigmented so you need a light hand when applying it. The wear time is also commendable, I say seven hours with very minimal fading.

The blush costs $26 each (net wt 0.31 oz/ 8.9g) and bronzer $29 (net wt 0.31 oz/ 8.5g). Both blushes and bronzers have swimmables or water-proof version. I haven’t tried it yet because I don’t pile a crap-load of makeup when I go to the beach, quite a revelation from a makeup-lover ha?

So here’s my FOTD featuring Cargo Mendocino blush, Matte medium bronzer and Essential Lip Color in Kyoto (separate review soon).

I'm just now hearing about this brand. I saw it at Ulta once, but haven't picked any up. I wonder how the waterproof versions are, and if they're sweat-proof, too!

I love Cargo but I've never tried their blushes. The blush you're wearing in the picture is to die for! But I think your lippie brings the whole look together.

Thanks much Justina. Lippie review will be up soon. xo

Those are lovely shades! I haven't tried anything cargo. I think I need to try a waterproof formula, though. My cheeks eat blush!

LOL! Have you tried cream blushes in general? they're supposed to be more long-wearing than powder ones.

I do love the packaging but have never bought! Mendocino looks like a blush I would gravitate to and it looks so pretty on you.

I'm a big fan of Cargo packaging, too! Right now I own Big Easy blush and several eye shadow quads, but I tried their other products too.

Yay! Have you tried Cargo's eyeliners? I like them too!

I'm glad cargo is now being sold at Kohl's because I can browse the entire collection in person 🙂

Great to know! I hate that we don't have Kohls in Hawaii

I love the range of colours they come in. We only just got Cargo back in Australia after it left us for many years.

Cargo has been around for a long time, but I've never tried their blushes. Looks like that will have to change!
