Hi there blushing buddies! Today I’m sharing my ‘lil blush/bronzer collection from Cargo. Makeup enthusiasts know that this Canadian brand has some of the best makeups around yet they remain under the radar. Why? I think it has something to do with their “now you see, now you don’t” distribution setup. I was disappointed when Ulta and Macy’s ceased carrying it for a while (wait, they’re on board again as of this writing, yay!). Occasionally, they pop in at HauteLook so be on the lookout for steep discounts! Ready to sneak-a-peek?
I lurve lurve the packaging! Housed and protected in tin cans, these blushes are travel-friendly! Sold in nine shades, I own three at the moment: The Big Easy (sheer pink with gold undertone), Mendocino (dark pink with gold sheen), and Catalina (matte cotton candy pink). The one and only bronzer in my stash is matte medium.
These blushes and bronzer have superb color payoff. Mendocino is very pigmented so you need a light hand when applying it. The wear time is also commendable, I say seven hours with very minimal fading.
The blush costs $26 each (net wt 0.31 oz/ 8.9g) and bronzer $29 (net wt 0.31 oz/ 8.5g). Both blushes and bronzers have swimmables or water-proof version. I haven’t tried it yet because I don’t pile a crap-load of makeup when I go to the beach, quite a revelation from a makeup-lover ha?
So here’s my FOTD featuring Cargo Mendocino blush, Matte medium bronzer and Essential Lip Color in Kyoto (separate review soon).
Do you own any Cargo makeup? which one is your favorite?
