It’s the year of the Wood Horse, the year of leadership, hard work and recklessness! Whether or not it applies to you, cult-favorite STEAMCREAM released a limited edition tin to celebrate 2014. Kung Hei Fat Choi!
If you don’t know yet, STEAMCREAM ($20, 75ml) is a UK-based brand that uses steam to fuse natural ingredients in a gentle manner. The end benefit is to provide skin with utmost hydration. I don’t have a degree or experience in manufacturing to walk you thru the entire production stage but my wild imagination common sense tells me one thing, it’s just an uncomplicated process of moving from point A to B;
where A = mixing of ingredients using a technology called steam;
where B= resulting cream is being packaged in limited edition tins.
Of course, I might be wrong. What if there are points C D and E? Oh well at the end of the day, I just want a moisturizer, period!
I have already reviewed STEAMCREAM not too long ago; while I am impressed that it uses all-natural ingredients and packaged in dainty albeit limited edition tins, I find the fragrance a tad overwhelming. I really think the company has to tame the lavender extract, the nose knows! But scent is relative, you may like something I don’t and vice versa.
Ingredients: Oatmel infusion, Orange blossom water, Almond oil, Cocoa butter, Glycerine, Stearic acid, Triethanolamine, Jojoba oil, Lavender oil, Chamomile blue oil, Orange blossom absolute, Rose absolute, Neroli oil, Stearyl alcohol, Coumarin, Geraniol, Citronellol, Limonene, Linalool, Perfume, Methylparaben, Propylparaben
STEAMCREAM can be used for face, body, hands, and feet. I prefer using it for my hands and feet, after shower and before hitting the sack. It’s lightweight and moisturizing enough to beat winter-dry skin.
I keep on mentioning limited tins like a cockatoo but I think it’s the unique selling proposition of STEAMCREAM. They only produce x number of tins then move on to the next must-own design. From what I know, they also collaborate with artists, hmmmm that sounds fun!
STEAMCREAM delivers worldwide but I found one retailer in the US (Beautyhabit) that carries the brand.
Guess what, I have 2 extra goodies to share with you!
